  • The building shown at 3:42 looks very similar to the one where the Ghostbusters fought against Gozer towards the end of the first movie.Even the gargoyle at 3:52 bears a resemblance to the one's from the first movie, before they came to life.

  • Ever notice how it's mostly demons that are never effected by the Proton Beams or get captured or destroyed?

  • Saving The World...just an everyday job for the Ghostbusters

  • Nicholas Cage and Boris Karloff?

  • A Piece of paper overloaded a PKE Meter... That's awesome.

  • I love how epic and perfect the music is in this episode. Also, when 2012 rolls around.... who ya gonna call?

  • Most fans consider Ragnarok and Roll the darkest episode in ghostbusters series.

  • @Gekkou25 That is why I love it!

  • best episode ever!

  • this dude can NOT handle breakups! ;p

  • I love how huge the explosion is from that tiny PKE meter. And then Egon pulls out another one.

  • "you've really got a one-track mind, you know that?" hahahaha

  • Reminds me of 2012 film

  • To think, a broken heart nearly brought the end of the world. Girls let guys down easily, guys vice versa.

  • Westboro Baptize Church at 3:02

  • I love the look on Peter's face when he says that they haven't blown up a house in day's. Priceless.

  • I KNEW GHOSTBUSTERS WOULD BE INVOLVED WITH 2012! LOL Seriously many of the disaster scenes look like they were used frame for frame from each other. i mean 2012 you see the monk watching the mountains crumble, first couple minutes into this episode he makes the mountain crumble

  • Thanx! ...Pity that the video seems unfindable!

  • I find it kind of amusing how those winged creatures wear spiked underwear.

  • Anyone knows/remembers what's the episode with a giant octopus-like ghost that feeds on other ghosts and radiates heat? The ghost also wanted to reach the ghost containment unit to get a big meal.

    Thanx for any hint!

  • I think that episode is called "Call of Ktulu". Funny thing is there's a Metallica song with the exact same name.

  • It's not funny at all old man. Both the cartoon and the episode are based on a very famous monster, the dreadful Cthulhu of H P Lovecraft. if you haven't read this stuff yet. GO!

  • First of all, who are you calling an old man? I'm not even 60 years old yet! And for your information I've heard of the story of Cthulu! I was only pointing out the Metallica song! So don't make fun of me, okay! Watch who you speak to like that!

  • Yeah Cthulhu is one of the most famous and recommended stories by Lovecraft (I first heard of it through the ghostbusters!). HP Lovecraft influenced Aykroyd a lot in his original conceiving of Ghostbusters. 'old man' depending on how it's meant is just a term eg 'dude', I've been called old man in endearment by friends like: 'how you doing, old man?' (bit old fashioned.. but meh..) btw I love how they get stuck sometimes, & even Egon doesn't understand..kind of edge-of-the-seat stuff for a kid.

  • 'Connect call of Cthulhu' :)

  • "Standing Room Only" The monster was called Mee Krah, or something to that effect. It terrified me as a kid. Enjoy!

  • The doomsday prophet has a Watchmen smiley face button, LOL!

  • You /do/ know the have a nice day smiley face icon has existed for around 40+ years before Watchmen, right?

  • I do! And the novel itself is 20 years old. I simply found it ironic, that is all. ;)

  • That PKE overloading could've taken out the entire house!!!! That must be some powerful shit fuck C4.

  • Comment removed

  • They didn't show dogs and cats living together.

  • Lmao. Win.

  • wholy shit why was the PKE made so it would turn into a bomb if it overloads?

    ...THATS AWESOME

  • My girl leaves me so im going to DESTROY the world....every emo kids fantasy....

  • LMAO!

  • 2:40-2:53 that one ghost

  • Jeramy is insane, but this episode is eye poking funny! poor Egon's P.K.E. meter blows up. poor Egon. >:P

  • Polka dotted loincloths are very becoming on a Demon, lol.

  • I remember seeing this episode when I was a kid. That face in the sky freaked me out. Definitely one of the best shows of the 80s.

  • Egon is in fact Brain from the Pinky and the Brain trying to rule the world for himself hehe. Love the old school cartoons, just like Thundercats and He-Man.

  • he sounds like george bush

  • I just love Ray's matter of delivery of the line about nightmares for the rest of your life. Also does anyone remember that address at 5:05 in the last part? 4+2+7=13! Nice touch there!

  • bad luck?

  • (13x2)+4-7=23

  • PKE Meter always overloads and has smoke comin' from it, but this time having the little toy blow up like a grenade... LMAO XDDDDDDD

  • This cartoon even LOOKS good and its like 20 something years since it was made, most cartoons these days arent nearly as well written or artistically detailed like alot of these old school shows. What the hell happened to good 'toons like this?

  • Yeah! I agree with you!

  • ..... is the PKE MADE of TNT because that was a pretty big.....explosion

  • Detilio is awesome!

"You REALLY have a one-track mind, did anyone tell you that?"

He's a nice change from other fictional people cursed with disfigurement.

  • "Depends, I guess, on how sick your idea of fun is!" ROTFLMAO

  • amazing, i havent seen this in 18 years...i was like 3-4 and its all about the end of the world?! Jesus

  • Great episode.. although Jeremys voice sounding like an elvis fan just makes it... hmmm....

  • Anyone get the Megadeth reference at 0:42?

  • Ray: That THING hurt the Ecto 1!

    lol!

  • 6:26 world trade center..creepy!

  • Thanks, I will check those two episodes out. :)

  • I don't know It just seems like the ghostbusters were powerless. Well, do anyone know what was the last episode to air before the series ended?

  • the name of the episode is "Leagues Under the Street" but this was when the series was not that good, the producers decided to make the series less scary, but the last episodes with the good writers and good animation were great!!! like "flip side" one of my favorites

  • @Gum2Gum I've noticed that the Ghostbusters only seem powerless in the last couple seasons, when the art quality and writing went down. Suddenly the throwers just didn't pack much oomph to it. Whereas in Season 1 & 2 episodes, if the throwers or other equipment didn't work, it was a pretty big deal.

On the other hand, just what the hell is powering the PKE meter to make it blow up like that? :)

  • Is this the final episode?

  • no, what makes you think that?

  • @insidethewall Because this episode is incredibly dark, catastrophic, epic, and emotional :)

Seriously, usually writers bring out their big guns towards the end of a show. But this was only the second season! JMS sure knew how to write big.

  • It didn't use to blow up like that... it overloads every other episode XD

  • yeah but its an evil ragnarok force that made it explode lol.

  • remember that egon mades upgrades to the equipment all the time :P

  • You will note what movie is playing at the ABC Theater. And if you missed it, you've got one guess.

  • 1:19

Winston: Yeah... what is it be-otch?

  • Egon could take him I

  • MY,MY....SUCH A DARK SHOW.........FOR A KIDS' CARTOON.........JUST LIKE BATMAN THE ANIMATED SERIES....(the original).....COINCIDENTLY,THEY HAPPEN TO BE MY 2 FAVORITE CARTOONS OF ALL TIME.......BATMAN IS #1 AND T.R.G. IS #2......

  • Actually the animated Batman lasted longer, started in 1992 it evolved into the Batman / Superman adventures and later that same version of Batman years later was spun off as Batman Beyond. And also that version of Batman is who was on Justice League and Justice League unlimited.

  • venkman's still a smartass, that's what made this show gold!

  • Indeed. What's weird to think about is the voice of Venkman in this show was the guy who later did the voice of Garfield the cat on Garfield and Friends. Similarly, Bill Murray (who plays Venkman in the Ghostbusters movie, as we all know) also voiced Garfield in the Garfield movie. Freaky coincidence? I think so!

  • OMG all this becuase of a marradigde rejection THAT GUY IS BARKING MAD.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LOL! we haven't blow up a house in....days!

    gotta love the Ghostbusters.

  • They should make a ghostbusters cartoon soundtrack.

  • They had one, but it was only the songs in the cartoon from Season 1 and 2.

  • REALLY???? do you now whre i can get it???

  • Isn't the ugly Igor-like character supposed to be the psychotic one, rather than the voice of reason?

  • That is why this is one of the greatest shows ever. Just because someone is ugly does not make them evil.

  • Yeah and the attractive "hero-type" guy is a genocidal nut.

  • What is that PKE meter powered by? Plutonium?

  • yeah, its a wonder that that thing doesn't give off some dangerous levels of radiation

  • indeed, very odd no? kinda makes u wonder wut the "container/frame" is made out of

  • yeh thats traditional music 4 these episodes this kicks ass this one

  • The Musik at 1:48 in Part 2 is the Greatest i ve ever heard
