I love that RVD never won the title, and that Dreamer spent almost a decade chasing it only to have his moment taken away. It adds so much to both of their characters. Don't forget that RVD just owned the Television title, creating a company where you could debate which title was more sought after. Try finding that anywhere else.
But yeah, maybe Credible wasn't the best option to be the guy who ruined Dreamer's moment.....
@Videogamestwin Thanks! It was, some footage is even harder to find than you think from early ECW stuff. Thats why i had to use some of the shitty footage i did, cause it was super rare to find some early-mid 90's ECW footage.
They should have NEVER put the belt on Justin Credible OR on Steve Corino. It's sad that Dreamer got a five-minute title reign. He should have won the belt at Barely Legal, since it would have been the perfect way to blow off the 2-year Dreamer vs. Raven feud.
I'd like to see one of these that includes the NWA Eastern Championship Wrestling Heavyweight Title changes with Snuka, Johnny Hot Body, Muraco, Sandman, Tito, Shane, Sabu and Funk. Just no WWE stuff.
@JKTube Agreed on Credible, i felt it was a shot in the foot moment for Paul, since his names were leaving, but Corino was a good call, although it was obvious that if RVD didn't get hurt when he did, he would of had a world title reign someone there.
I was thinking of adding the Eastern title history...but then realized, it was an NWA title at heart...and what made that Shane Douglas moment great was how it was done and how created ECW (Extreme) and made it stand out.
@miktimrob: Strange to read that, since, when he won it, he gave a speech where he said, "I may never make it to WrestleMania [which he did, at WMXXIII in 2007], I never want to make it to Starrcade, but I made it here tonight in the ECW Arena." Tommy Dreamer was probably the ultimate company man, since he seemed to put ECW's well-being ahead of his own. The Sandman has said that when he and Tommy teamed up back then, they'd argue over who got to do the job since they'd both want to be pinned.
nice video

Good job for putting this video together ! It must've been really difficult to gather some of those footage.

RVD should have won the belt

Justin Credible was the worst champ. Tax was easily my favorite. I still can't believe Jerry Lynn win the ECW title before RVD

@UnlimitedProdiction1 Another reason why RVD never winning it was a great move.

lol every single clip is horrible quality. Thus putting the extreme in Extreme Championship Wrestling
blindsightedkill 3 months ago
@blindsightedkill lol. Some of them were SOOOO hard to even come by. But i think it gives way to the fashion of old school ECW. Grungy and extreme.

Loudest pop goes to Douglas when he won the title in Pittsburgh at N2R '97. Holy fuck that crowd exploded.

@snootch2nootch: I understand that. However, the NWA of 1992-1994 really beared no resmblance to the NWA from 1948-1989.

@JKTube Tommy Dreamer has said he never wanted to win it.
