It doesn't matter what you do to a Tippmann, it's still a blowback. You can put a TON into these, and it's still a blowback. Just not worth it, IMO.

Plus, I don't get the point of putting a stock, and other things like that on a paintball marker. If you wanna play 'Mil-sim', why don't you play Airsoft?

Paintball is a TAGGING game. The shots don't go far enough, or fast enough, or straight enough for it to be a military simulation.

@trooper3ful It depends on who you ask. I went into my local scheels and asked the paintball specs and they said that they are extremely similar it just depends on how much cash you have to spend. (then again how much do scheels specs know ;]) I know Wolf has like 3 a5s to current date and he loves them like a baby. I LOVE my a5 and havent had a single problem. basicly the x7 is more customizable out of the box. they both come with cyclone so that isnt different. I honestly would go with a5

@trooper3ful as it it cheaper and just as durable. The x7 (to me) seems like the spoiled child's version of the a5. When deciding it depends on what kind of paintball you are going for. If you want the most realistic looking gun on the planet (and half $800+) to spend, then go x7. If you want a customizable, reliable gun for a decent price go with the a5. You can get almost just as many mods these days for the a5, but again you are looking at a higher price range. hope this helps!

after the review i ordered a x7 ak-47 modified gun with an 18 inch barrel and im loving it. I used to have a crappy a5 that could not hit any one at long range without using a lot of balls. Now i can fire one shot and get a hit at a long range; Thank you so much for all your reviews

Masks are tricky but you essentially get what you pay for. I used the v force grill for a long time and still do from time to time. Now I use the dye i4. Amazing mask but really spendy. Got mine for $119.
