bigsteve, see above reply--The Wild Cry is (in my opinion) the most beautiful Clannad song. I don't think it's on Youtube yet (hint, hint, anyone?). Another is Gaobh ara na dTonn (sp?), off of Clannad 2. I think there is a Youtube of it. But when I heard her do it live, it was twice as good.

Oh, the most beautiful thing is to hear Caislean Oir, and then the song that comes after it, The Wild Cry--that is, hands down, my favorite Clannad song. I know Clannad were probably thinking of Ireland's coast when they wrote it, but it always reminds me of my dear California coast. Wonderful!

Lol it is at peace. Im 25 and the only experience i have had of Northern Ireland is what i saw on the News. The Republic of Ireland since it's independence has been a peaceful place (almost 86 years now). I have known nothing but peace. Northern Ireland since the Good Friday Agreement of 98 has experienced a major turnaround and is considered to be at peace. So all parts of the island are at peace.
