Perhaps a "Praise to the Woman" Cd/Dvd is in order for the Joe-Moe's:: The full count is uncertain but we know it includes Emma, she burned the polygamy revelation and comes with a box of matches. Eliza Roxie Snow, a wife of Joe and Briggy and God only knows how many she "married":: Many claim she Loved to play "Eve" with Enthusiasm, literally, comes with an easy to remove dress. Fanny Alger, comes with modesty clause, Lucinda Morgan Harris, widow of William Morgan of the "Morgan Affair" Con't
@IExposeMormonism Lucinda is interesting because she lost 2 husbands to ritual Freemason Murder's: Joe and William. She also married Joe AFTER he was dead, for eternity and 2nd Hubby Harris for time; Briggy and John D Lee witnesses, in Nauvoo. What does she come with?? A lot of Hankies and a lot of Questions! If you collect the entire set you may need to build a new Bedroom to store them in...A framed D&C132 is also available for $6.66, in non flammable paper.
@AllenJBlodgettJrmota "Inappropriate, & please take this off youtube." If this fellow were stating the same thing about Jehovah Witnesses, Roman Catholic, Oneness Pentecostal, Moonie, Islam, etc., would you state the same thing?
@AllenJBlodgettJrmota "To say something about a cd of beautiful music is wrong. Plain and simple" Sorry, but your response didn't answer my question. Would you care to try again?
@AllenJBlodgettJrmota To sing praises to a man is wrong, it is a form of worship reserved only for God. Can you imagine if someone started singing to one of the apostles, like John or Paul, they would be rebuked. Everyone keeps telling you that Mormonism is a false religion and there is a multitude of info on the internet to prove it. Maybe you should research the church history written by the church itself. Ultm.org is a long time place to see any topic you want. Try to prove us wrong.
If religious stories help people love their neighbor and treat them with dignity and respect, they are noble, regardless of historical or metaphysical reliability. Being a part of a church organization that tells a story or professes doctrine that might not be entirely correct may be worth it. In fact, the stories are often key in giving members the strength to make the world a better place.--
" In today’s information age, Mormons in unprecedented numbers are discovering unpleasant and inconsistent aspects of their historical narrative.". ... .Adam Ford--LDS lawyer
He also goes on to say:

I was trying to make a point to Allenj, with a Salt Lake City Tribune article by Adam Ford. In which he make this horrible statement about how stories can be lies and still be good it it make people show respect for family etc. I was pointing out the way LDS are dishonest and do not care about truth. Problem was I could not make a complete comment because it was too long and I had to split up my comment. So now it makes little sense.
@AllenJBlodgettJrmota *To say something about a cd of beautiful music is wrong. Plain and simple*
The Vissarion and his followers, are located at a complex in Siberia and surrounding villages. His followers sing some beautiful hymns in his honor. The music is beautiful, but they are praising a man who claims to be the reincarnation of Jesus. So, if it's beautiful it has to be good, is that what you are saying?
@AllenJBlodgettJrmota There is nothing beautiful about poor deluded fools singing praise to a perverted narcissistic sociopath who's bio makes any normal person want to puke.
Your church has said similar things about the songs "Ave Maria" and "Amazing Grace", two of the MOST BEAUTIFUL songs from the pens of men, and WE didn't tell YOU that it was "inappropriate" and to retract those bigoted remarks...
Even TODAY those songs are NOT allowed in an LDS building.
@AllenJBlodgettJrmota *Inappropriate, & please take this off youtube* I'm assuming that you are a pipe organ enthusiast. We aren't criticizing the form. We are criticizing the content of hymns that Christians understand as heresy. Such criticism is very appropriate in this forum. Speaking of such, why are you reading and posting in a forum that your leaders would admonish you to stay away from? Are you drifting into Apostasy?
@AllenJBlodgettJrmota What is "inappropriate" about it? Singing hymns to a demonstrably false prophet and giving to him the kind of praise that is reserved for Jesus Christ alone is what is inappropriate, and deeply offensive. You're not in your temple now.
"in 1820 a young village idiot walked into a grove of tress with a rough plan to make it look like he was searching for god, and walked out with a full plan to deceive millions of fellow idiots"
@thorkyll Yes, out of context (i.e. yours), it may be difficult to believe that "Praise to the Man" in no way discounts God and/or Jesus. Because, you see, praising a man is not the same as worshipping Diety. If you read the entire song you will note that it has phrases such as "..the Man who communed with Jehovah; Jesus anointed that prophet and seer..." Praise means to regard highly or to compliment. Surely you can compliment or regard highly one of your peers or someone whom you admire!
@sidewalksynthesizer "I have more to boast of than ever any man had. I am the only man that has ever been able to keep a whole church together since the days of Adam. A large majority of the whole have stood by me. Neither Paul, John, Peter, nor Jesus ever did it. I boast that no man ever did such a work as I. The followers of Jesus ran away from Him; but the Latter-day Saints never ran away from me yet...

(History of the Church, Vol. 6, p. 408, 409) This comment from your so-called prophet, in context by the way, demonstrates what he thought of himself. This is the guy to whom you have pinned your salvation on as to being the restorer of the gospel, believing you will become a god with your own planet, populating it by having never ending celestial sex with your many sealed wives, etc. Smith was narcissistic at his core.

Yep. In the same way one could use the Book of Mormon for something useful--like toilet paper--
it would give new meaning to the words "hole-y scripture".

Good idea...since they also don't have Mormonism there. The DO have Maoism there, tho, which have distinct similarities to Mormonism.

This is in 2 parts because of space:

In today’s information age, Mormons in unprecedented numbers are discovering unpleasant and inconsistent aspects of their historical narrative.

I could never agree that anything that subverts the truth could ever be good over the long term, whether it leads to a good temporary outcome or not.
Anything based on an untruth will eventually fail.
I grew up on the fables of Aesop and learned part of my ethical framework from those fables.
But they always had a nut of truth in them.
As far as I can discover Joseph Smith's fables don't
