Lexus IS250 Mazzuri Headers, Tanabe Exhaust

@Gaugster Ha sorry, I mean i know your car is AWD. But i heard Mazzuri went out of business. Any idea how i can still get ahold of some headers like yours? Thanks

@tes7815 That will be a chore. Mazzuri only made about 10 headers. Of those, two were modified by him to fit the AWD's. Another set was made to work by a third party.

I am not aware of any other company that is making anything for the AWD.

have you put in an intake on it yet? if so did you get any engine light warnings? because i'm trying to put in an intake and exhaust in my IS but don't know if the engine light will go off...

@trousien I have the JoeZ intake tube with stock air filter. Intake and axle back exhaust should not make the CEL come on. Changes to the CATs will cause the CEL to come on unless you do something about it.

@Gaugster oh really because I heard on forums and stuff that some of the fujita intakes and tanabe exhaust has the CEL light turn on.. but yeah do you think its just cool if i install this stuff myself because service through lexus is a pain in the pocket.. and just swap them when i get maintenance?

well, i was helping a company to test fix the mid pipe, but it doesn't fit, and i don't think they are willing to made one, since there is not much IS AWD

i keep reading ebay auction ads, and the megan racing website that say the megan racing header wont fit the AWD model. Is this true? I thought Mazzuri isn't making products anymore.. if so, what type of header can us IS250AWD folks get?

The sound is a combination of the aftermarket headers and exhaust.

Exhaust alone (Tanabe, Lexus, HKS, etc) wont sound even close to this. IMO

Tanabe by itself is suppose to be the quietest exhaust other then stock.

hey man, how do the gains feel with the headers? did you have them professionally installed?

I did the work myself. I can claim to have gained 0.2 - 0.3 seconds in the 1/4 mile with headers, exhaust & intake. Feels and sounds good.

AWD headers with axle-back exhaust.

It's a cold start so the engine is in stratified injection mode. Idles at about 1200rpm at first, then is goes down to about 1000rpm @ 36sec. I take it up to 2000rpm @ 52sec and then give is a couple of raps into the 3k-4k rpm range. Enjoy.
