Hey I'm just wondering what video plugin configurations did you use to play this without any slowdowns or lag? A friend and I are thinking of playing to get used to AH mechanics before AH3 is released. *shrug*
@TESvideos@dascene0 At the moment I'm using the latest PCSX2 beta (0.9.7 r3878) with the latest GSdx plugin that came with it (GSdx 3693 0.1.16). Make sure it's on the DirectX Hardware setting (either DX9 or DX10 depending on whether it's on XP or Vista). The only other settings I have is to use Native PS2 resolution, and change the interlacing from Default (either in the plugins menu or by pressing F5 during gameplay). And run it Windowed, not full-screen.
@tu101uk Thanks. By the way, there wouldn't be anywhere where I could find combos for this particular version of the game huh? I heard this port has...uhh "identity issues" lol.
@TESvideos Unfortunately I can't help you there, mate. Yeah, this version is supposedly 2.5, which wasn't even the most up-to-date version at the time. Even if you found AH2 combos, they'd probably be 2.6, which was the final version of the game before AH3 dropped a few months later. :P Besides, many of the combos from AH2 don't necessarily carry over to AH3 (and vice versa >.<)...
It's definitely good to mess around and get a feel for the series though. Try and have fun until AH3 drops!
Wow this gives me hope, time to fuck around on my quad core against Parace (lol that fight on ps2 is everything wrong with the port in one nice package.)

Actually it's an ISO rip of the PS2 disc. I figured it would run a whole lot faster off the hard drive than from the disc itself.
