I guess I didn't completely understand the message. I have read the BIBLE twice. I choose to "pick and choose" what to do with "life" on earth. I'm a JW and I thought this was funny. Though I admit some are reall uptight about this stuff, I guess most people would think it's o.k. It's not like they're bashing the JW- belief or anything.

I have friends who have stopped being JW and of course their parents were disappointed and maybe angry in the beginning, but that goes away and they soon accept it, and lives go on as normal... unless you drag your girl home to have sex with her. My friend did that and his mom went apeshit. xD

Being a jw destroyed my childhood. I was baptized when i was 12 like many young witnesses,and i thoroughly believed everything i was told. But i was not mentally mature enough to make such a decsion, nor in the frame of mind to even ponder the existence of god. I still attend meetings respectfully for my mother. I've talked to the elders about my "doubts", and not one can begin to answer the logical questions that i propose. I dont hate the people, but i am rather disgusted by the brainwashing.

Well, then you can blame your family. Not a single person I know has had that happen to them. I'm 18 and still not baptized. I do belive that what they teach is true, I just have too much going on in my life right now and not ready to be baptized yet.

There was a period when I was about 14 when I was in doubt, but I searched and found out that I really belive, but that's just me. If the elders couldn't answer your questions, they're probably not educated enough. Check out "Watchtower Library"

I'm also 18.I've thorougly researched my doubts through the wt library cd. I asked a few simple questions about Noahs flood when i was young only to be quickly disciplined. "How did animals disperse after the flood if the continents were separated? How did salt water and fresh water fish exist within the same flood waters? Why is there no consistent silt layer around the earth to support a flood?"etc.....Innocent, and simple questions from a 14 yr old yet no answer but you just have to believe.
