I wish I could, but it was sorta a one-off. ATM my masters is taking up all of my time so I don't have time to put the finishing touchs on my one, let alone start another one.
you see the way they designed the analogue sticks require the who unit to be soldered in. in you remove it the pots lose the thing that changes the resistance and by default it stays at on resistance doing something.
hey man, yes all you have to do is de solder it... but i found that you have to put the potentiometers back or the controller will be stuck in the up direction.
very informative, thanks for your time. i'm actually attempting to mod a mayflash but watching you're video will give me techniques because i'm clueless, if you do have any suggestions or have modded a mayflash, i'd really like your guidance, thank you

Hey DSE, i have a weller 40 watt, and i cant melt the solder on the pcb. Any suggestions?

either hold the tip there for longer or buy a hotter iron.
sorry no simple solution.

hey man, what did you mean about the potentiometers being stuck in the up position? was that for the triggers, or the analog sticks.
philhuddy 2 years ago
He means the sticks. Most people tend to avoid the sticks because they're a nightmare.
Hey DSEemployee, is it possible to get rid of the trigger solder points without a solder sucker? I'm on a budget. =)

that was for the analogue sticks.

I have to remove the left analog stick on my controller. Do i have to remove the left trigger pot first? or that last?

Is there a way to remove the analogs too?

Thanks for showing these steps in detail! Had no idea how to use a solder sucker.
Question: what iron are you using? Is it the WES51?
