actually philippines got her very own! simba is a philippine made light armored vehicle. and it's versatile just as any us or russian made apc's. only that it lacks modern circuitry and armaments. simba is mountable with 40mm auto grenade launcher , 20 to 25 mm turret mounted cannon and 90 mm gun, to the latest TOW anti tank missiles other than it's basic single 12.7 mm machine gun or twin 7.62 mm. pretty much it's a very respectable apc which can be upgraded to a fire support vehicle.

Acquiring L-39 for the PAF is a waste, its like buying another S-211 jets. The MIG's are worth considerable but these deadly jets are being used in communistic and terroristic countries like Russia, Iran, Iraq to name a few...i cant imagine the PAF flying a MIG's in a democaratic country like ours. The best for the PAF are F-16s and Kfir's
