Real books are better. Not only are they cool for decoration but you can lend them out not to mention they last for years. This thing kinda looks like it would snap in 2 if you sat on it.
I'll agree with you on the blogs and newspaper but I haven't seen a site that you can download a whole book... wait nvm i have... yeah this is pretty usless
It's a great idea but too expensive for me. I also like being able to see all the books I've read in my own little library. I think if the cost went down I'd get one for when I travel around and don't want to carry any heavy books around with me.
Free access to Wikipedia. ha ha h a ha Oh yes because unlike everyone else that has to pay for Wikipdedia ha ha ha LOL FREE wikidedia. ha ha ha This divece looks like on old 1990s black and white basic storage device. And it's over priced.
They're not saying Wikipedia is free, they're saying ACCESS to it is free. That's kind of a huge deal on a wireless device. You have to pay to access the internet on other wireless devices.
And of course it's black and white. Why wouldn't it be? What, the books you read have big pretty pictures you want to see in full color? If it did have color they'd have to use a different screen technology, which would take away from the paper-like look to it. That would make reading more irritating.
i usually refrain but you just stick out like shit smeared on a windshield. no fucking shit wiki is free but not every one has free wifi to access wiki stupid fuckface.
It's seriously over priced, it's monocrom (black and white), and my PDA can hold more storage and in color. I think this is a cool idea for simply reading ebooks and I would gladly pay $70 for such a device but there is no way I'm going to pay $300 for something so basic and primitive.
NO IT ISN"T!!!!!! Hey I bet you don't even have one. I do and it's the coolest thing ever!! The only downside is that is doesn't have a light so you can't read in the dark. Other then that, it's the best!! :) :) :)
It's cool, but expensive. I could keep a library book 10 years past it's due date for the price of a kindle2. Also, I like to read (and drink) in the tub and I've been known to drop a book now and again. I'd better wait for the waterproof model.
Well obviously this device isn't going to be for everyone. The cost is only worth it if you'd normally read a high number of books anyway. The occasional novel reader probably won't get their money's worth, but someone CONSTANTLY reading probably would because they'd save so much on the price of the book. $9 compared to $25-$30 builds up pretty quickly.
And I've tried the library route, but after dealing with spines falling apart and missing pages, I'm ready for something different.
haaaayy
this kind of technology isnt due till about 50 years from now

Could you download 3000 copies of real books into your house at a click? Just downloaded every book written by Stephen King, readable on my kindle.
