new line and Wingnut films had some legal problems during the making of the movies, and PJ had some law suit against new line about the profits of the video games and suck
These New Line morons shall better care about the success of their movies, not about personal arguments with a genius. If Jackson directs "The Hobbit" it will be a huge oscar-nominated success. If someone else does it it will suck ass.
Disagree. I liked Fellowship but I think he burned out by the time they did the post production for the other two films. Besides which I think Del Toro makes good films and he is working with Jackson so The Hobbit looks promising.
LotR is a monumental achievement. And I have even more respect for Jackson after having watched this interview and hearing his thoughts on Tolkien, etc.
the big reason peter jackson is my favorite director is because he has passion for what he does,he does whatever it takes to get his film the way he wants, that how all film makers should be.
him and steven spielberg, i mean you have to be a fucking genius to create the lord of the rings for peter jackson, and as for steven SAW and jurassic park put him right on top of peter.
It might sound cheesey, but he is SO INSPIRING. Just a regular Kiwi guy who has had so much sucess but he is always such a lovely humble person. He had many dissapointments, but he has never, ever given up on his dream and look where it got him. He is pretty much the opposite of most hollywood stars; he is older than most, not typically handsome and he is not superficial at all, but he is the most lovable of them all to me. He is my hero and I love him!
i love what you say, but from my perspective he was always inspiring. i saw bad taste and meet the feebles, braindead, and heavenly creatures when i was eleven when they had a pj month on sky. i realised then he was the coolest. he is the epitome of kiwi icon and so ridiculously talented. jackson is the man
Hehe, I agree with you now, but I'm only 14 now so I had never heard of any of his previous films until last year when I finally discovered the wonders of LOTR and Peter himself. I can't believe it took me so long! I did see Heavenley Creatures when I was about 11 too on late night TV, I loved it, but I didn't even realise it was his film! I totally agree with you about his other films too. He's never changed his style, hehe, you can still find those moments of gore in his recent films...
peter jackson is probably one of the most influential people in my life, as a budding film maker, he has inspired me so much. Thanks for the upload... GREAT INTERVIEW
"is this the movie you set out to make?"
"yeah......"

New Zealanders are commonly referred to as 'Kiwi's' as well if you didn't know?
Other examples:
Australia - Aussies
England - Poms
Get the idea?
