I was at Alliance College in Cambridge Springs, PA, in the late 70's and we used to watch the Frankie Yankovic program on Sundays from Cleveland. What a great talent.
My cousin played with frankie for years---all kinds of stories. and my Dad took the cover photos for one of his WI albums! So I got polka in my veins.
Now then, what would happen if you changed the title to the "I Left My Wife at Home Polka"? Perhaps it might change some stuff in this tune?!! LOLOLOL
For some reason these lyrics were going through my head last night and here you've posted a video I didn't know existed on YouTube. Is the Internet great or what? Thank you!!!
This is a classic song! Great post Joe!. I remember sitting around as a kid my dad playing this song on the old LP and him having a smile on his face. I also liked how Frankie and Joey kind of lost it there laughing, great song by a great performer, the King, Frankie Yankovic!

Wow. Sounds like Norteña. Reminds you just how much it is influenced by polka.

@hartsmodic Dont take any offence but man is judged by what he accomplishes by himself and not what his ancestors did accomplish

Live from Cleveland, Ohio The King of Polka Music Frank Yankovic, here on Polka Varieties. As Paul Wilcox, the announcer would say!
Thanks Joe, for bringing back this clip of the Polka king himself. Love it!
