  • Awesome lesson! Tanks!

When I began to slide my guitar, it really sounded like sh..t, but now I think I got it though, thanks to you. (I've never even cared about blues before, but now I love it.)

-Ey, and don't listen to those douches sayin they ain't got time for this shit. They mad, you cool.

  • i wonder what jack white thinks of all this theory

  • Orville,

This is a wonderful video! You have a very relaxed manner, pleasant voice and well paced delivery. Thanks so much for posting; I will look for more of your videos. (For those of impatient viewers who want to cut to the lesson, start at 11:00)

  • Santa knows many things about gitars.

  • What the f*** . I was so happy to find a lesson that takes more than 5 min.

And what is he doin`? Bla bla

By the way. That's not the way to get more customers for jamplay

  • 15:37 "there it is ;)"

  • it's too hard to play slides are hard

  • What a mellow guy

  • orville redenbocer

  • @mlbace1320 haha

  • I love it,first he tells you to practice the major scale without any slide/vibrato,then wheat does he do? Use vibrato at the 12th,lol

  • @AlphaWaste A huge portion of blues is the history behind the music though. The nice thing about internet video is if you don't want to listen to that you can skip to the learning section, but it's good to have the information for those who are interested.

  • true. I listened. I am red blooded American so my attention span is about 2 minutes deep and that's considered studious in these parts.

  • @JamPlayDotCom well put

  • You can learn technic everywhere, but It´s good to know the history behind the guitar as we know it 8-)

  • @darkisoangel

Go Kernal Sanders you tank!!!!! If only i had a slide for my guitar :(

btw i luv ur chicken bro wat r the secret herbs and spices??? jk

keep up the good work :P

    Peace Out

  • @silentfatality You are allowed to have videos longer than 11 minutes when you are a "YouTube Partner". To become a parnter, your channel needs to have LOTS of views/subscribers, etc :)

  • i got a glass slide for christmas its a jim dunlop brand its really nice

  • glass is decent. i love a brass or a bronze (bronze slides are generally pretty rare) slide personally.

you palm mute the strings you dont need. or with your thumb. i use it on my ring so i can mute unwanted strings easier with my pinky. but you need to be able to play good with your pinky. i know alot of people who dont.

  • just saying... glass is the best material for slides because it is incredibly resonant. plastic is terrible. metal is pretty good. (also for the maker of the video)

how are you getting such a clean tone out ouf that? everytime i use my slide it hit every string and sounds awful.

  • and btw i dont know much about slide guitar. i just mess around with it. i am in no way shape or form an authoritative voice for slide guitar. just trying to help. thats what i do and have learned. and what i have heard.
