This series was just recommended to me by a fellow anime fan, and I have to say I was very pleasantly surpirsed. I liked how the story focused on the human factor vs the mecha and the music was very soothing too. I think on parts of the story telling it beats Evangelion. I would say the Eva is the Flash and RaeXaphon is the substance. Good Vid by the way.

I love Ayato and Haruka but I love Ayato and Asahina together aswell. Too bad Asahina never gt a true happy ending.

Hehe ironically this makes me wonder if there really is a soulmate for all of us. What eally moves me from this story is that she waited 12 years to meet him again and all they went throught and in the end they end up as a happy husband & wife story...very touching ndeed.

Spectacular!  Haruka/(Mishima Reika) is among my favorite female characters; along with Belldandy from Oh! My Goddess.

I loved the music as well, matched perfectly to their torn & then reunited romance.

dude! they shouldve let haruka look the same because even though supposedly they are the same, i always feel like it's a different person. why does the guy have to look the same and the girl has to look different? it feels so wrong to me! argh. i hate when stupid things like that happen in anime! it's just either one or the other! it can't be both! and i really liked how she looked like when she was younger. aghhhhhhhhhhhhh  DX

@Cherriedesu I know you posted this some time ago, but the changes done to females in anime's aren't too different then girls in the real world. It can be put in numbers how many more times women change their look in relation to men who generally might get fat or bald but generally keep the same style and look. Us women will one year have long hair then the next day, you'll see a girl with short hair boasting she finally did it and realize who it is.

Well, it's a tie between this one and the most recent MV that I made......this one, I think that I like better simply because it's shorter. The other one is 7 minutes long, and most audiences don't have that kind of patience heh

oh come now.....just do the anime industry a favor and buy this series. Hell, it's only 7 discs long. I think I got the entire collection for like 50 bucks. Or netflix it. Trust me. It's a work of art. You don't look at the Mona Lisa on a webcma or play a video game to climb the pyramids of Egypt, do you? Buy it, watch it, trust me :) I've even gone back and rewatched a few choice eps it's so good. It's probably my favorite anime series thus far.

Well done video! RahXephon is easily one of the two best animes I've ever seen, mostly because of the dynamics between Haruka and Ayato. Great song... I've always liked Meat Loaf, and the song was perfect for them. Very well done!

okay question. If the girl in the yellow dress is Haruka when she was younger. Then how come she has different hair color when she was older then when she has brown hair when she was younger?

I imagine that I would have to read the manga series for a little bit more detail on the matter, but - notice the part I put in at the very end. The young Haruka in those few seconds has the same hair color as the older Haruka - so when things were not messed up by the MU, everything was in order. I think that maybe the brown haired Haruka - referred to as Mishima, was a somewhat distorted memory on Ayato's behalf since the MU wiped everyone's memories....so a distorted Haruka could slip by.

Correct :) This is the Meatloaf and Marion Raven version of the song. As it says in my video information, you really need a duet for this music video. The Celine Dion version is only 1 singer, and does not fit as well. I think it fits better this way :)

Yep, that's ayato :) It's him after he has "retuned the world" so that he's the age he should have been were he not in Tokyo Jupiter...in other words, the same age as Haruka. Doesn't he look like a certain Doctor from the show?....without the glasses?....chew on THAT one now ;)

Once they revealed the cloning project I realized later maybe the "Doctor" was a clone of Ayato...AH so many things left open in this anime but its my all time favorite series and I too own the complete set DVDS ^_^
