It's a good deal for Poland. Russia will not make any moves into Poland, it has already showed it's response by selling weapons to Chavez, and Syria and so on. This is the Russian response. In all looks like Poland made a good deal, money, weapons, and a SuperPower to back it up if ever needed, for simply hosting 10 missile silos that it will never use.

hundreds of US troops, payment of millions of dollars, a promise for near instant military aid. all to host 10 missles. Now mind you that the facility while only carries 10 interceptor missiles has the capability to house and launch nuclear missiles.

I know they got alot of money, and a deal was made for around 60+ f-16's. I mean look, the United States is always a better ally to have then Russia when you are dealing with Polish Russian Politics. Also, Poland is seen as one of the success stories to come out of communism with it's economy rising about 4 percent a year. The Soviets never had this much success with Poland but I guess thats just Capitalism. I doubt it's old military equipment, considering the f-16's are still in use by U.S.A.

I am against the shield and Obama has downgraded the deal thankfully however Russia put missiles in Kaliningrad in the 90s when it agreed it wouldn't so PL in a way has a right to protect itself.
