  • I just bought the G1and I love the freedom of it the iphone keeps you a slave to their products. the iphone set the standard now it's time to go to the next level.

  • The two are both good phones, my friend has an iphone 3G and I have a G1. I love them both , I like the G1's free apps and sliding keypad(which is amazingly easy to type on). And I love the iphone's big screen and awesome battery life.... both have incredibly sweet benefits, I think it pretty much comes down to which carrier has better plans.

  • Meh. My friend has an iPhone and even she was impressed with the G1. Love it or hate it though, iPhone IS pretty damn good.

    I switched from Sprint/Samsung Instinct to T-Mobile/G1 and I don't regret it one bit.

  • There will always be the " ... like the iPhone " .. because it was the first to have such a phone. like he said, it won't be a killer of the iPhone or BB. I think the phone is ugly, even before i got the iPhone 3G , I still think it's ugly.

  • The G1 has much time to improve as well, time doesn't stop for them. I can't say Android operating system will have MUCH more apps than iphone, but this new open source with many developers jumping all over it salivating to create makes me wonder how you conclude the iphone will have MUCH more apps. I cannot find where I could conclude either or. It is a wait and see who would have more apps in about two years.

  • Same this phones features are ok, but apples graphics and user in mind features allow it to be 100% customer friendly, plus the problems with the iPhone will be fixed within the next year on a newer version, 3G really is just a reply to the old iphone so users dont get bored at all.. Also the G1 is a chubby ass phone

  • I love this phone but yeah the iphone is still dominant and a little better, but, this is great to have a choice and at have a phone come out for Tmobile customers. That is what it is for. This is free market, G1 will improve with next version, so will iphone and there will be other phones to come out, bringing the price down. Tmobile and google did a great job jumping in.
