So Mickey drives an old beat up car to a date. It would be a safe assumption that he doesn't have very much money. Then he goes to a car dealership, buys the flashiest car (on credit I assume) and just like that, he's off to his date.

I read in the Times that the United States is 14 trillion dollars in debt and we have an unemployment rate of around 9%. Maybe the violent cartoons aren't the most dangerous.
