  • This sounds a lot like I'll Buy It by The Replacements, but it's still great!

  • @zyembia of what?.

  • Great cover

  • Oh, please, they made a favor to Elvis. Really improved it. They sound better with up tempo songs than slow, dragging ones.

  • reminds me of the superjail theme

  • What movie or TV show was this in? It sounds familiar.

  • Can we get Middle Brother to Asheville, NC! I would love to see them live!

  • Deer Tick - Delta Spirit - Middle Brother = Amazing

  • saw them in minneapolis . amazing show . check out our songs youtube.com/user/tryvids

  • Most early rock music came from an earlier generation just like this. I personally like it. That's from a 63 yr old boomer . I'm waiting for the next sound that can stand on its own without being a throwback to what was. Yet, I still like these guys.

  • @Powerharp62 everything is a throwback to what came before. there is no "original" music at all aside from maybe atonal music.

  • @Powerharp62 Boomers were not original, the true original sounds of the rock and blues scene came from the silent generation. Buddy Holly was not a Baby Boomer.

  • @MsFelixtheCat50 Van Morrison wrote a good song about the advent of radio and its influence. It's on the album "Enlightenment" and is called "In the Days Before Rock and Roll." Check it out. Rock was being born while us boomers were still in diapers.

  • @Powerharp62 Exactly, I love Van Morrison by the way. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll check it out.

  • @Powerharp62 well frank zappa is a great example of a unique sound(he's made 64 albums BTW) gentle giant was pretty tight for an old band, kebnekaise, absynthe minded (VERY diverse) al di meola, anthony phillips, the dear hunter, young the giant, don ross (actually any candy rat guitarist!) estradasphere, the flower kings, the hoosiers(not TOO unique sounding, but they're so damn catchy) joanna newsom, kings of convenience, maps and atlases, mr. bungle, of montreal, and of course FOXY SHAZAM!!!

  • Yeah cause Elvis didn't rip off music from anybody...

  • @Scoundrelfish Elvis didnt rip of music from anybody? you sure about that?

  • Aah, thanks socarates1818, otherwise I'd be wracking my brains for days trying to figure it out

  • Fuckin' givin' er'!!!

  • Elvis' 'Don't Be Cruel' rip off, aye? Alot of bands have ripped off Elvis, nothin unique about that.

  • @socrates1818 And Elvis ripped off a lot of people too.

  • Check out Deer Tick too

  • Catchy! nice new indie Bnd!

  • Found through "the indie rock playlist"- an excellent source of new bands to me- just passing it along for what it's worth...

  • sounds like Deer Tick

  • @thefoppa1000 it's the lead signer, along with two other lead singers from two other groups..

  • @kdubberger13 With those singers being Taylor Goldsmith of Dawes and Matt Vasquez of Delta Spirit. And the last time I saw Dawes, Taylor told me the one and only Jonny Corndawg has a verse in a song on the record.

  • @thefoppa1000 john mccauley is the singer from deer tick.

  • @thefoppa1000

It's the guy from Deer Tick.
