I was a film student and so we found out about her there. She was wonderful. She was the first filmmaker, not the first female filmmaker as they say. I have had to deal with the sexism in the film world too and I say-it really sucks!!!!
So sad that she was forgotten (especially in her home country!!!!) Well done to you for brininging her legacy back where it belongs! The Musée d'Orsay is having an exhibition on her right now, but the US was the place where the very first exhibition on her work took place! Well done for your respect.
