Nirvana has nothing to due with this video or music. If anything its the exact opposite. Easy music to grasp onto with simple minded lyrics. Even though hardcore bands weren't exactly the best artists in the world many of them had an intelligent message they wanted to get out there, not just pop friendly alternative teenie bopper music to play when your angry at your parents.

@penquinftw Minor Threat lived by a far different set of ethics than Nirvana did, take for example the DIY style of doing EVERYTHING, second, everyone I know loves minor threat and/or embrace and none of them are straightedge. Sure, they may not have quite the same level of notoriety as Nirvana (who, it bears mentioning, have nothing to do with this video or this band outside of Cobain's purported musical tastes), but you would be hard-pressed to find a punk rocker with more genre knowledge than your average Hot Topic scene kid that doesn't know who Minor Threat are, regardless of whether they're straight-edge or not. @durok1 cobain listened to bands like Minor Threat and Black Flag, the original punk bands.. Then he sought after a similar but different sound. So he made Nirvana and Bleach is considered a pure grunge album, because of how raw it sounds, the lyrics, and just the songs themselves. Its just as good as this

If you watch the drummer at 33 seconds, that's pretty amazing! I play drums so I know.

He's coming back up and hitting the hihat once or twice with his right hand in between snare hits this adds extra emphasis on the note and makes it possibly seem a little louder/harder.

It's impressive because it's not something most people would do. That beat would sound the same to pretty much everyone without it. It just goes to show how into the music these guys are putting everything out there!!!Punk Rock
