I am not saved because of what I do, but I am saved because of what He did. Without Him, we are actually nothing, and yet, He still loved us enough to die on a cross. It is what you become after being born again, and that is forgiven, that you become beautiful in his eyes. Amen you see all these rap and rock songs getting a million views but not christian songs. I'm not going to be a hypocrite and say i dont listen to those songs but i have slowed down and now as a long time devoted christian trying to swap music. Cant help what you were raised listening to.

"...not because of who I am...." ummmm... I don't agree with these lyrics - I think it's precisely because of who I am... I am beautiful :)... an uncoditionally loving parent is going to love his/her child because of they are who they are, not because of anything else...

@vraiser79 I agree, but that is not what the lyrics are talking about. I am not saved because of who I am, I am saved because who He is. I am not saved because of what I do, but I am saved because of what He did. Without Him, we are actually nothing, and yet, He still loved us enough to die on a cross. Murderers and child molestors have parents who still love them though, and it has nothing to do with them, but the hope of the parent. God bless! :)

@vraiser79 I think it is impossible for God to love you because of who you are. It is because of who you are that he suffered and died on a cross. Ridiculed and laughed at to this day. It is what you become after being born again, and that is forgiven, that you become beautiful in his eyes. Only by wearing the righteousness of Christ are you seen as his own son and that is beautiful :-)

@vraiser79 Because it is about Him. It is about his love for us, not our love for him. It is about him being beautiful, not us. It is because we our ugly before Him and he still did something that would cost Him everything and us nothing. He owes us nothing. And I agree, what he did for us, in light of who we our and who he is makes no sense but it does make him awesome :-)
