probably a combination of different sided dices, D&D has a D100 but you have to roll another or a couple others to be able to roll a full range of 0-100

Two ten siders rolled together, preferably of different colors. Before and I do mean BEFORE rolling it should be denoted which one is the "tens" (first number to be considered) and which the "singles" (The last number). Thus a role 01 would be 1 and a roll of 00 would represent 100. Far as I know D&D doesn't use them like that but the old Iron Crown's M.E.R.P. (Middle Earth Role Playing) game does)

D&D still uses percentile rolls. Of course, the new d10 sets come with one number 0-9 and the other numbered 10, 20, 30, 40... etc so you don't have to declare which die is the "tens".
