Mport might consider actually watching the full hour rather than the 15-minute excerpt. Or, better yet, review the scientific literature on FC where we find no sound evidence of reliable facilitated communication from anyone. Even the crappy studies done by the FC people don't show it actually working--unless you trust experiments so hopelessly confounded that the ESP people would laugh at them. FC is great with the touching stories--but cowers in fear when asked to provide real evidence.
Over the years, this PBS series, FRONTLINE, has built a reputation for powerful reporting that tackles the tough, controversial, and complex stories that shape our times. From Martin Smith’s on-the-ground reporting in Obama’s War to Michael Kirk’s investigation into the hidden history of the financial crisis; FRONTLINE gives its award-winning journalists and filmmakers the time needed to thoroughly research a story and the time on-air to tell the story in a compelling way.
You can see the bias and ignorance oozing throughout, and I anyway didn't expect much from a quarter hour TV report.
The autistic people feel the letters and don't need to look at them. Blind (brain-injured) people also do FC and there are many cases of these people relating knowledge that both the facilitator and family members were unaware of; never mind the recipients. One recipient knew that her mom purchased a dress for her, and the facilitator had been unaware of it.
