  • great video - thank you - i don't think i'll fly there........

  • There is no way, no go around, or any maneuver, because the mountain!

  • This would have been a great video but your retarded fuckeing comments on the screen fucked it up! Just shut the fuck up and shoot the pictures! Funny guys like my self will do the rest! Goddamn thig guy is a dip shit!

  • Insane..fuck that.

  • Its like an obstical course

  • addition to the lyrics:

want some egg fwied wice fo yo onbowd foood yoo pwick?

  • i was expecting boeing 747

  • dont be anoyyyyiinnn i cant th song kwis

  • if u watch it carefully u will she the brave heart of gurkha making the airplane flying high.....

  • the funniest parts are in lirycs. I can't believe that this airport is operating yet.

  • Looks easy to me -- uphill easy stop with turboprop blade reverse. Easy takeoff too. Downhill pick up speed fast.

  • That looks sick!!

  • intresting. i would love to land here.

  • no offense, but the captions are crap. LOL

  • 2:53, pilot: "WHIIIIIII" copilot: "OW... PULL UP, DAMN we going down" pilot: "why, we have annother 50m??" copilot: "NOOOOOOOO" pilot: "HAHAHAHA, i'm on the highway to hell!!"

3:12 pilot: "OH, look a mountain!!" copilot: "TURN LEFT please..." ;-)

  • CRAZYYYYYYYYYY WAWWWWWWWW

  • these are not jets. prop planes can touch and go!

  • @zarehs789 Not here they cannot.

  • indians...

  • @TheShreyek we r nt indian.. we r NEPALESE.

  • @nepaliz CAPITALIZING DOES NOT MEAN ANYTHING

    im also nepali too sooooo

  • They should write "NO GO-AROUNDS" in big red letters in the brick wall at the end of the runway, just for fun.=P

  • I wouldn't do this with an A380

  • i was expecting another plane to come whilst he was taking off

  • ok...

  • my comment has 11 thumbs up...i feel so fuckin proud

  • who is saying us indian...fuck them...we r brave nepali people

  • Thank you for the gurkhas

  • @MRWALKER500000 my father n grandfather both were gurkhas....yea british people r our oldest allies.

  • @rajeshhamalable proud of all of ya :P

  • @irvinmanohar we have already seen turbojets and Boeing you dick head. Its just an airport on himalayan region. that's why it is so challenging to land an airplane. It's takes a lot of guts to land a plane or take off here. so dont call us POOR bastards or i'll kick your ass of the mountains.

  • @aadi123456 lol.. i don't live on mountain. I live nearby a sandy beach in Mauritius... :P

cool down my dear nepalese.. Peace.. :P

  • only the ones with brave hearts can land here... i am proud 2 call myself a NEPALI

  • I love the optimism painting a giant 24 along with the giant piano keys

  • hey guys.. just curious.. why did the vid say no turn around? is there a wall at runway 24 or something??

  • @yuki1010 There is a rather tall cliff just behind the camera...

  • @yuki1010 I was standing at the middle of the cliff :P Unless the airplane has equipped with afterburner or rocket engine, it has no chance to go around!

  • @loliuyau I almost laughed out loud! :D

  • @loliuyau And about chandelle maneuvers?

  • @yuki1010 Yeah there is a steep mountain

  • @yuki1010 cant it sharp right and fly out

  • @yuki1010 there might as well be a wall. hah. basically steep mountains. almost impossible to turn around. Especially because the planes already dont function as great as they could because of the high elevation. Your pretty much guaranteed screwed if you mess up the approach

  • What type of aircraft that we see on this video?

  • @rikblaze

    That's a dornier 228.. nice aircraft.

  • I thought your "busy" in the description was a joke. OMG

by the way, nice vid ;)

  • That's just mental.

  • bachha le khele jasto garcha yar plane udaune pani ..toittt.. ...

  • I found out extremely busy airport instead of dangerous :D So clear blue sky!

  • december ma aaudai chu .. bujish

  • I was at this airport about 6 years ago and it was exactly like this! The ironic thing is I never thought that much about it because the scenery ws so beautiful. Also, I was excited about our upcoming trekking adventure. On the way back to Kathmandu, our guide was so scared about taking off and I figured the pilots know whay they are doing so why worry. I would definitely do it again! Lol

  • @kobayashimaru65 unbelievable

  • this airport is better than albanian airports

  • i belive i can fly ... hahahahaha

  • Waloh wat an Xperience...scary flight. 20 minutes only ,otherwise its a 5 days tough hike back to Kathmandu in cold foggy weather.

  • thank god...i was safe......was dame thrilling.......

  • Amazing the pilots have to be well trained as they seem to be...... And experienced too!

  • When I flew out of Lukla airport it wasn't even tarmac - it was dirt

  • Don't call us Indian, we are Nepali .

  • @abhaya182 Cowboys and Nepalis? nope, your Indianans

  • @abhaya182 thumbs up 22...cheers

  • OMG! The congestive claustrophobia is just killin' me! I didn't even notice the control tower on the other side of the runway because I thought it was a pagoda or temple--it blended in so nicely with the houses! I finally noticed it in the last part of the video.

This airport's so small....I'd have to fly out to neighbouring Tibet just to change my mind!

    I love the comments--hahahahaha! XD

  • " Ready to jump ?!! "

    " NAMASTE ! I am ready "

    Just funny :P

  • It is pretty safe taking off and landing, the planes are designed for it. They're called STOL airplanes which stands for Short Take Off and Landing. They also use helicopters.

  • @2ndLiutenentSgtMajor Well, but you have only one turn left for the ones that are coming and right, for the ones are leaving, so, you tell me why it is safe. Ops, you can just go up but, are they capable to do that? As I could see, they just turned left while taking off, otherwise they would crash in the mountain!

  • 27 people r blind!!

  • honestly I would rather land here than many other airports.

  • looks a bit like indian driving

  • @GOapeshit14 its my hometown.its nepal.

  • @rajeshhamalable and you have internet?????

  • @ripleyrichard obviously...now im in hongkong.....nepal holds a record of having internet connection in highest part of the world.

  • Love it. Lukla, demos. About 10,000 or so plus or minus.

  • what altitude is this airport at?

  • @deimos2k6 It is Lukla about an hour east of Kathmandu. 11,000' or so.

  • @deimos2k6 its at 9, 383 ft above sea level

  • In Soviet Russia, runway lands on airplane

  • Love those quotes

  • Thank you for posting this!

  • ohh the worst thing a pilot can say in this runway is aborted landing go around!!

  • i wonder what will it look like if there is an engine failure at 3:54

  • @uoy1997 It's a twin-engine aircraft, if they lose one engine they can take off using only the other one.

  • @SocratesAth how about double engine failure :p

  • @uoy1997 Very unlikely, but if it happened... I guess they'd just dive into the valley, pick up some speed, then glide to a safe landing.

The take-off procedure is actually quite safe, if I flew to Lukla, I'd be much more worried about the landing...

  • @SocratesAth diving to gain some speed is an Alt. loss too, it wouldn't be that easy to return, since they have to climb again. and yes, when i talk about an engine failure on take off, it's about the landing not the take off

  • Usually I turn captions off because they are annoying, but I left these ones one. Good job :)

  • Mad Airport !!

  • lol the annotations are funny as hell

  • I learn alot from this video , Thank you !

  • if only that happened at heathrow... oh wait...

  • inclination of the runway helps to stop the plane while landing...

  • HAVAI! I tried this on MS FSX! superb!

  • great video

  • ICAO¿

  • @ProtectJewsEvilArabs Turboprops, exclusively. Piston-engined planes have trouble breathing at this altitude, even if turbocharged.

  • @SenorSpode if you could clarify: at courchevel, swiss, there is vids showing B747(!) landing, so i ask: the runways seem similar in length, course 'd be a hell of a landing, but would that be possible? here the mountains have another configuration, very far complicated than courchevel

  • @blizzardtheory A 747 landing at Courchevel? My friend, you stumbled upon a Flight Sim freak posting his manipulated video here on YT. A 747 definitely cannot land there. Plus, Courchevel doesn't have a cliff face at the top like Lukla does. There's no chance of a go-around at Lukla.

  • @SenorSpode yeah, you're right about the vid. but, be patient, just for the sake of argument, i always thought flight sim offers similar parameters to real situations. so, if someone can simulate a landing, doesn't that mean is possible on real world? i'm curious about that, i'l try to simulate that situation. but, seems clear that, if some stunt pilot could do that, he'd need rockets, like those that C-130 uses in military ops, to take-off. but considers that just an exercise of imagination.

  • @blizzardtheory Not necessarily. Most of these FSers who land An-225s at Courchevel usually do it because they either use Slew Mode or they substitute the aircraft.cfg file from a Cessna 150. Using a YC-130 like those used in the failed Operation Credible Sport (look up here) wouldn't work, neither. Altitude, mass, reverse forces, etc. don't combine well in instances such as these.

  • I really enjoying the landing of Druk Air at Paro International Airport.... every time :) Its really thrilling and so close to the main highway!

  • i really enjoyed the part with the airplane.

  • that airport is busier than i thought

  • Motherfucker "!!!

  • CARAIOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Damn!! R.Kelly sing a song after his experience in Lukla airport....

  • Sad sad sad

  • that shit looks like the road I take to go to the petrol station in my fricking car!!! THAT'S MAD!

  • this is my country nepal

  • @Juggernautishere its Not India its Nepal!! Learn it!

  • wow this airport runway is so small.

  • Comment removed

  • Uhh..what's the 'Go Around' procedure for a missed approach?

  • @sixstringfretter If you are too high or too fast, abort the landing by taking off again, but this airport doesn't have enough runway diameter to do so, and also because the terrain is too extreme. Hope that helped ;)

  • @sixstringfretter That procedure would be "Go around if you haven't crashed" hahahahaha

  • Really. Their is no Go Around here, One shot Johnny. These pilots have balls of concrete.

  • @sixstringfretter That is if the pilot was indeed called Johnny. lol

  • @sixstringfretter forget concrete balls of steel lol

  • @Juggernautishere where is india??

  • @KATAERO who the fuCKing hell are u ???

  • wow, brings back memories of when i landed there back in april, 2011. on a school trip to trek part of the himalayas. best experience of my life!

  • aahh, if these guys are really good, land at this airport with a B767... kkkkkkkkk...

  • man, is these guys make a mistake they say: Hello mountain

  • why does the desciption say one of the worlds buseist

  • @RANDOMNESS873 I agree, should change "the world busiest" to "the world scariest airport" lol

  • @crus8ers There is no other way, I watched a documentary, on the blind side of the runway in this video is the face of the mountain. When landing there can be no overshoots, or go-arounds...

  • @MTWJ wow sounds so intense !!! would love to fly there someday ay? thanks for the info :D

  • ROFL i like the note u put in!!

  • Comment removed

  • i wanna see a space shuttle landing there

  • wtf? why ? there is not any control? is crazy, interesting and exciting is very short to this almost is fly or die wowww ( i will like landing there xd)

  • thats a nice inclined runway! gravity helps to speed things up!

  • how much doese these pilots get paid loll.....

  • the planes go in and out like taxis

  • is the runway a lil bit inclined? clever if it is

  • @gotingohan Yes, it is about 15 degrees inclined.

  • @loliuyau So does this mean that JUST before touching down, the pilot is actually REGAINING a bit of altitude while landing!? Holy shit. Absofrigginlutely NO margin for error here. NONE.

  • @loliuyau what Passenger Plane airport do they go if they are going to mount everast?

  • @nmbnunes1 Donnier and Twin Otter

  • @nmbnunes1 This is the mount everast airport. Just follow the road from it and you'll be at the base of Mt. Everast. :) the flights run from Kathmandu to Lukla everyday in Twin Otters.

  • @gotingohan Lukla airport( LUA) has a single runway which is 1,500 feet (460 m) long, 65 feet (20 m) wide. It has 12% gradient which is about 7 degrees inclined. The altitude of the airport is 9,100 feet (2,800 m).

  • Wonderful!

Nice catch with the complication of the helicopter.

    Any mishaps here?

  • @robertgift major!

  • @kac9p337 Yes. Later I saw the poorly done video ot the needless, tragicrash. Could not believe that anyone would attempt a VFR landing with clouds obsuring the runway approach. Should have overflown the runway to see where the clouds ended. Why did the pilot even attempto land? Did tower personnel not advise him NOTo land?

  • the most dangerous airport of the world

  • there are houses down the cliff

  • Is it a airport or local bus stand

  • no wonder my nepalese friend is avoiding going back home

  • Yep, he'd be well buggered without beta

  • Best airport ever! look at the cozy parking area and the idea that your like 10000 feet above the ground!

  • Definitely the best on youtube! Favorited and liked!

  • @faostube and subbed.

  • this is where Chuck Norris learned to fly.

  • @PILOTasRAHMAN This is where Chuck Norris learned the other guys how to fly :-)

  • @PILOTasRAHMAN This is where Chuck Norris discovered he's mortal.

  • pretty nice shots and comments

  • lets build a runway in someones backyard

  • Welcome everyone to Mt Everest. Enjoy your stay. Stay a while or stay forever!!!

  • very funny annotations

  • I enjoyed the conversation between the airplanes...thanks for that :D

  • what plane is it????...it does not look like a twin otter

  • @ThePlaya12345678 donier 220

  • @carlosvaldes2007

Donnier and Twin Otter as well

  • Where is the steam launcher? Seems risky not having one! Now if only drivers on the freeway would behave that way. A system only works when the rough edges are left behind and the jerks removed.

  • This approach would make a carrier aviator puke.

NO Landing Signal Officers to guide you to the deck. It's a steep uphill runway on approach (like a severely "pitched-up" deck). NO wave-off, if you screw up the pass (you just simply go out with one great big bang!). NO "yellow shirts" on the ground to keep whirling props from destroying you and your ship (and vice-versa).

The downhill slope (on departure) requires you to fight the temptation to over rotate the nose into a departure stall.

  • Wow, this is very nice. So attractive. I wanna fly there one day.

  • clear day lucky

  • How did this airport become "one of the busiest in the world"?

  • @epjac2210 Because it´s wher you need to go if you plan to go to mount Everest. And MANY people do that. Also the airport has only four park spots. So they have to land, stand for 15 min and take off again, because there are other planes circling around for land.

  • who thought it was a good idea to put an airport there?

  • dangerous airport but very beautiful place

  • 2:07 Unbeleavable. 2:52 "takoff power set" and 2 seconds later "V1" :)
