There are better blackberrys out on the market but if you are limited or want t very good priced one...this is a great place to start. You can get used to BB software and operation and later, if you like it, you can upgrade. However, if you have endless amounts of money, Yes, get a 9900 but it will be very pricey.

@TheMinetwentyseven Well, there are lots of models of blackberry. Your best bet is to get a CURVE....Should be a great price. There are a lot of CURVES. The bad for the 8520 is screen res. and not 3g - BUT - The edge network was fine for my use on facebook, browsing the web and all my e-mails, etc. If you can start with the blackberry 9300 curve. You will get good screen res. and 3g for great price. Any BOLD will give you the best but CURVE is good and good $ to boot!

@T1993J Don't take my words, but i used my cousin's Blackberry for about 2 days and totally loved it. What makes it so epic is the keyboard and all the messaging apps (BBM, Skype, Facebook, MSN, Yahoo, AOL, etc...) Texting with a touch screen isn't that good, i was impressed by how fast i was texting with the Blackberry O.o So i decided to get one (And I'm getting one today) Do more researches on Google and Youtube :)

@T1993J Love it! You can play Youtube videos as well, but the quality's 240p, So that's kind of a downgrade. The battery is absolutely amazing, Everything's great to be honest. I know this isn't detailed but i'm really busy, if this didn't help, just check Youtube :)

I had the misfortune of having this total piece of shat as an upgrade. Ended up selling it to mazuma and getting a cheapy handset which is still working today! It supposedly has wifi although it never seemed to work on mine, the e and a buttons stopped working, the battery life was appalling. These blackberrys are meant to be awesome but I wasn't impressed with this one at all.
