i hate people these days, whenever they think of roman and persian soldiers - they automaticaly think of the movie "300" where the average guy is 6'0 feet and have the body of a MMA fighter...In reality they were probably just some skinny farm boys from the country side with no battle experience. Thats why the Mongols, who are expert archers and horse riders slaughter the european knights and soldiers so easily
You guys may be got to learn something that mongols islamic that time. That was why they hate world, but they couldn't invade southeast asia because of rich jungles. Arts are in angkor wat, cambodia. It helps you guys to learn some of mongols vs southeast asia. Southeast one of the best defend in jungle not to attack or invade other country. Remember nixon sent bomb cambodia, vietnam and loas to get rid of viet cong. But never won.
HA HA HA - I LOVE THAT ! Because of Attila - the Hun the European civilization fallen back to 500 years of dark ages ! - BULLSHIT !
Attila was against the SLAVERY ! He destroyed all the empires who didn't agreed to give up the SLAVE SISTEM ! He said : I'm the whip of the Good, the hammer of the vorld. I came to punish you for what you do against the humanity ! - The end of the slavery officialy counts From attila's age = 476 ! That's why this video is a FAKE - LIE about the Huns !
@SuperiorHuns The Dark Ages were a time of economic depression and social depression in Europe. I don't see what slavery has got to do with it at all. Also, even if your assertion that Huns do not use slaves is true (which I find incredible), I'm pretty sure that slaves exist even today. In fact, I'm fairly sure that slavery was a pretty big aspect of some parts of the world even well into the 19th century.
@chrisomen112 Hun's empire streched out from the north of Chine to the Rhine- river-in Europe-Germany. Imagine that ! The biggest empire what ever existed on the earth.SO: Romans had NO CHANCE at all, even if they left the greeks alone ! Huns existed 8000-years back from today. They had a perfect writing sistem used 44-letters. Prooven by the Usa, France and Italin professors, and by the C14 - test. At that time Europeans had NO writing skills, except Romans. So; Europeans were the barbarians !
@SuperiorHuns Actually the Mongols had the largest land empire and the British had the largest overall (land + sea). Rome at the time was divided into 2, the western portion (which the Huns had the most impact on) consisted of what is now France, Spain, Italy, and parts of England and North Africa. (Actually I'm not too sure whether or not Rome had retreated from England by then). Anyways, at the time, Rome basically is Europe and it is failing.
@SuperiorHuns Rome's failing economy was actually it's biggest problem at the time. With a weak economy and ineffective administrators, Rome was not able to field the type of armies that allowed it to conquer Europe and the Meditteranean. The Huns were only one of several nomadic tribes that took advantage of Rome at the time. Germanic tribes like the Vandals and Visigoths (who didn't have nearly as large an empire as the Hun Confederation) did as much damage if not more to Rome as the Huns.
@chrisomen112 Huns vere hard, and skilled varriors ! Even in 907 The whole Europe united against the Huns = Hungarians = Magyars. They came agains the Huns by 100-thousand west soldiers. West soldiers didn't know who are they facing with. The huns had only 30-thousand soldiers, but they TOTALY destroyed the united west european army at 3-days only! The Hun's leader name was ARPAD.- It's called the Battle of Pozsony. After this battle the Huns streched out their territory even more to the west !
@SuperiorHuns I don't deny that Huns were skilled warriors. However, the Hungarians of 907 was much different from the roaming nomads that pillaged the Roman Empire. Aside from that, the "whole of Europe" you were referring to was the Duchy of Bavaria - a part of what is now modern Germany. Taking into account that Europe's population plummeted after the fall of Rome and the fact that medieval armies are hardly ever more than 10,000, you'll see how armies of 100,000 or even 30,000 is improbable.
I study nomadic cultures and this video tells that settled cultures are superior to nomadic ones. I should point out that both were highly evolved. It is very wrong to only state things in one point of view. It is completely misleading. example: a Byzantine delegate reported from Attila's court: Attila spoke 5 languages ate out of wooden utensils while all the nobles around him ate from gold plates. In Attila's empire 4 types of writing were official... -Anything but "barbaric"
Before Tang dynasty @618AD, ancient China was in turbulent periods for ~400 years after the Han dynasty @206BC ~200AD; it was the Sui dynasty that reunited China again @581AD, comparable to the Qin dynasty which reunited ancient China @221BC. Prior to Qin, it was the Zhou dynasty @~1026 BC.
China was the strongest country for thousands of years. What are you talking about? The USA has only had the largest economy for 60 years. That's nothing compared to China's history.
yes they are stronger than U.S. if not for thee investment and savings of 2/3 of the money of the world bank from China, U.S. would have been the weakest country. China is the sleeping dragon of the world, if it would wake up, U.S. would be just a grain on a sand.... and to tell you almost all of the things in the world are made in china....and the biggest population in the world.
Why didn't ROME BUILD ONE?
WHY???
