Saw one that actualy flies on the cbs early show, cost 192,000 dollars, 10,000 dollars is all you need for a refundable deposit, it 's not this guys car!~
dude, you better check with the Lewis a Jackson's family and make sure they dont sue the hell out of you. A Black Man in the fiftys invented the same air plan with a smaller wing span in 1956. He was also a tuskegee air man and President of Central State University in wilber force ohio. I have a ton of photos if you want to see them.
Well, since the people who posted this are not the builders of this plane/car, but rather the ones who conducted the interview, I don't think they're worried about being sued by anyone. Also, I looked at Jackson's plane/car, and the only thing it shares with this design is folding wings. Since, as you point out, Jackson was a Tuskegee airman, my guess he borrowed that idea from the F4U Corsair, which dates back to WWII. Sorry, no lawsuit.
It's all about vertical take off man....no one want a plane that need runway....

There have been flying car designs around as long as there have been cars.
Why so few flying NOTAR(no tail rotor)HELICOPTERS?
An electric hybrid ground drive could be useful with a Turbine for the sky !
Of course, helicopters and Limos do go so well together....
Peace,
