  • I think is my ECT sensor because I changed my 2 relays below the wiper cowl which where exact the same. And the fan still didn't work.

  • Is the car overheating?

  • not anymore it was my ECT sensor was bad so it didnt let my fan come on. but now is fine i changed the ECT sensor and the fan comes on 220F.

  • Help me plz plz plz... my cooling fan is not coming on as suppose to. So I'm thinking is the relay switch or the sensors. The fan works excellent when I put it on A/C. could you please tell me where to locate the sensors or relay switch? On 1995 grand am se 3.1 v6. If it is possible can you upload the video showing me the sensors? Thank you help would be much appreciated.

  • The relay switch is in bank of relays on the passenger side below the wiper cowl. There should be 3, the other 2 are fuel pump and AC compressor clutch. Unfortunately the exact placement of the 3 vary. Since the fan works with the AC running, the fan and relay must be ok. Sounds like the ECT sensor is bad, or the engine isn't actually getting hot enough (220F, the dash gauges aren't very accurate though.) Sorry, I cannot show you the sensor location - I have the 2.3L Quad 4, not the 3.1L V6.

  • ty a lot for ur help
