The incident occured in False Bay off Cape Town in very light conditions. While drifting along in a light breeze the boat and her crew were caught offguard by a bullet/gust blowing down from Table Mountain. The boat capsized, the only damage being a broken mast - a result of the impact with the water, not the wind. The rest of the boat was dried out with minimal damage. A few mast repairs later and they were sailing again!
@SchionningMarine so does that mean if this was a trimaran with the weight centered in the center hull this boat could never capsize having a dual mast set up??
