Awe man, I didn't even know. Obviously because no one thought that the originators of Hip Hop were important enough to be remembered, it seems like making all the money and selling out is more important than recognizing who should be worthy of getting a place in the history books.

His stuff IS amazing. Only now finding out that he helped pioneer Breakin' and Scratchin' thus transforming music into what it is today. His music bridged the gap between Punk and Hip-Hop. He will be greatly missed.
In 1985 this was the first album I bought when I was in high school. The summer after my 10th grade year, I went to Peppermint Records here in Atlanta and bought the Do Ya Like Scratchin album

Man, Malcolm you had a great mind. Innovative and loved hearing the stories about your ventures to witness hip hop at its best. In its beginnings. I used to wear this track out on my radio show in college. Wearing all of my leather beanies! I still pump this joint, along with Buffalo Girls, Hey DJ. I still got to get my hands on another copy of Duck Rock. Love that album with the African influences. Peace to your soul.
Wow, this will remain a classic! This was the perfect joint to spin on radio show intro's/outro's or just play! This is when basement parties had cats with 2 turntables, a mixer, crates of records, and people shakin' their asses. I'm so happy I was there in the beginning when hip-hop, rap, whatever was fresh and new! RIP MM.

His stuff IS amazing. Only now finding out that he helped pioneer Breakin' and Scratchin' thus transforming music into what it is today. His music bridged the gap between Punk and Hip-Hop. He will be greatly missed.

In 1985 this was the first album I bought when I was in high school. The summer after my 10th grade year, I went to Peppermint Records here in Atlanta and bought the Do Ya Like Scratchin album
This was my favorite song on the album. RIP Malcolm. You will be missed

Man, Malcolm you had a great mind. Innovative and loved hearing the stories about your ventures to witness hip hop at its best. In its beginnings. I used to wear this track out on my radio show in college. Wearing all of my leather beanies! I still pump this joint, along with Buffalo Girls, Hey DJ. I still got to get my hands on another copy of Duck Rock. Love that album with the African influences. Peace to your soul.

Wow, this will remain a classic! This was the perfect joint to spin on radio show intro's/outro's or just play! This is when basement parties had cats with 2 turntables, a mixer, crates of records, and people shakin' their asses. I'm so happy I was there in the beginning when hip-hop, rap, whatever was fresh and new! RIP MM.
