  • @JazzyDoede

the piano on this one is so good :)

  • @JazzyDoede Im pretty sure the Piano is the work of Anne Dudley, she and Trevor Horn (the producer) was also part of Art of Noise.

  • Bravooooooooooooooooooooooo!

  • Now look at you you're sittin' there bitin' your lip

The whole world sees you as a hypocrite

Live out the first law of nature - self preservation

If the show doesn't help ya - change the station

If you don't want peace in the world

Love, peace and happiness in an endless twirl (?)

If all you want to do is keep the whole world back,

    You're the one that's wack,

    And we're World's, World's, WORLD'S FAMOUS!

  • This Made My Early Radio Days At KALU 90.7 In Langston Oklahoma We Bumped This In the UNION!

  • OMG I USED TO BUMP THIS IN DETROIT NYC WAS KING IN THAT DAY.

  • @R0NOPOLY hell yeah NYC was king back then

  • Man, I've been lookin' for this for a LOOOOONG time. Me and my homies used to practice our breakdance moves in a friends basement apt. back in '83 in the Bronx. We had a routine to this and used to perform this in the park around our way. At the end where it goes "round-round-round..." we would end in a backspin. :p

  • THE GODS DID THIS COMPOSITION CORRECTLY, ALHAMDUILLAH TO THE TEAM FOR THIS CLASSIC, BROWNSVILLE PERPETUALLY

  • Piano is by noted session musician Anne Dudley of 'Art of Noise' fame.

  • @davew833 Yeah...Art Of Noise have alotta to do wit' that whole Malcolm McLaren/World Famous Supreme Team DJs thang!!! They were like the "beat-makers" so-to-people...LOL!!! I was 'bout 8 years old back then, 'n go hook'd! When I heard this 'n "Beat Box" (by Art Of Noise), I knew somethin' was up, 'n when I check'd the credits...that's what made me a big fan of Art Of Noise, then!!!

  • @meechamaka411 Was a big fan of them too. A lot of their stuff has been used by various people over the years.

  • timeless - the production is clean!

  • I used to wear this one out back in the day. My favorite was the one coming on next. Hobo Scratch.

  • R.I.P. Mister M.M

  • how did hiphop fall so far from this

  • @MrJames07111

Once people (record industry) saw how much money could be made in it by exploiting rappers even more than artists from other genre's, it was a wrap.

  • @MrJames07111 I really don't kno'...this was my routine morning wake up call back in my elementary school days!!! This was my favorite group...I fought over a couple of dudes strivin' to rob me for this ('n "Buffalo Gals") record (vinyl). Hip Hop evolved...it was cool...BUT THEN, it jus' too damn crazy...greedy hands got involved, 'n pull "rap music" up out into the forefront!!!

  • @MrJames07111 apathy greed ego

  • @MrJames07111 Just Listen...This is HIP HOP ...The trash they are pushing now IS NOT HIP HOP...it is a poor tacky imitation no positivity no love no hope .. If you believe in Real HIP HOP support the artist that you feel make a difference!

  • @MrJames07111 yeah

wasnt it truly a thing of beauty back then

  • @MrJames07111 How did Hip hop FAIL far from this

  • @MrJames07111 When it stopped being an artform.

  • @MrJames07111 it makes me cry to hear this and its soooo true,,,this was real hip hop..my thing is at the time..this was more realer than blck hip hop and the buffalo girls video showed that..it was more realer than nthe lionel ritchie all nigh long video..the blondie r5apture video and the gladys knight and the pips video save the over time for me ..COMBINED malcolm mc clearen was the truth..

  • @MrJames07111 Because of greed and excess.

  • great piano playing (also in "scratchin"), played and produced by the "art of noise" easy to recognize... : )

sounds always great and as fresh as new...

  • is it funky enough?

  • The breakdown @ 2:05 has always been a serious thing to us youngsters back then!

  • @feistychick70

No doubt! Used to go off on that part with some sick poppin' moves back in the day. :p

  • @Alexltavares - LOL!!

  • Show!!! ************** Veluma13

  • YOU go listen to some mindless, brainless hip-hop, fool...I'M gonna listen to the real thing, that is, M.M.'S real pop music...

  • Rest In Paridise

  • Awe man, I didn't even know. Obviously because no one thought that the originators of Hip Hop were important enough to be remembered, it seems like making all the money and selling out is more important than recognizing who should be worthy of getting a place in the history books.
