The first composite cleanly looks like Berkowitz. The second one resembles him but not as much as the first. The third looks too different and the fourth one (with the beanie) kind of looks like the second composite, but not like Berkowitz.

Police composites/sketches are such a waste. I don't know if there has ever been an instance when one has actually led to the apprehension of the genuine culprit. Eyewitness accounts alone are incredibly unreliable, let alone an artist's interpretation of that account - subjective perception of subjective perception.

Watching this segment made me want to read Maury Terry's book, and if you can find it I recommend it. Reading it convinced me Berkowitz did not act alone. Terry believes he was only one of several conspirators but took the fall because the others threatened to kill his family.
