Thats the truth, the damn things have a one piece steering column, no airbags, and a complete lack structural integrity or crumple zones. Not to mention they are put together like crap and have a somnambulant power-plant. They are cheaper than dirt though. ;)

The steering is not bad at all if you arent a complete couch monkey. The thing is, most Ladas are used inside the city, some in the countryside. Therefore, accidents do not happen very often, as they are not driven fast in the city.
