I just got dreads, and I has a queztion.. Do you have to like use a crochet hook to make the dreads stay like dreads when they grow out, or do they grow out like dreads?

Because it hurt like hell for me to make them, I actually cried at one point, so I would LOVE to not have to do that again. Thanks!

@Memberotto some stuborn hair you can rub gently like dreadheadhq(dot)com explains but mine seem to just grow out as dreads pretty easily i dont do much to them these days just try and keep them from growing together remember if you palm roll or rub do it gently or you will dry out ur hair also keeping them clean keeps them dreading up greasey hair doesnt knot up good

just wow! It´s now 11 years after shaving your head...what?...could it be possible that you shave it again? I love the length but why not silky combed hair (I personally would prefer that)? Are you sure you could comb that dreads out? A friend of mine had dreads past his buttock and actually he wanted to keep it long but finally he had to cut it and shaved his head. If you plan to comb, cut or shave it - make a video! Besides go ahead with other videos of your awesome dreads...you are very sexy!

Question: I'm 13 and was planning on getting dreads probably next year in febuary since thenmy hair will be a year old. But i was wondering do they hurt badly? Like right now I have Cornrows but in designs and boy did they hurt. Think they would hurt worse than those?

@Kendrick528 no corn rows ar tighter on the scalp . But for like the first week they might fell sore from backcombing then they settle down and you wont feel your scalp hurt unless you get them all growing together into one giant awkward dread but id say theyre less pully then corn rows have fun !
