Nice job! It looks sad at times with all the abandon buildings, but it does have historic value to it. I would be a dream of a journey to visit Route 66.
Great video. I'm just getting into the Route 66 nostalgia, and for now am doing my touring right at my p.c. screen, thanks to clips like this. Many thanks.
Great video! I was able to go on a SMALL portion in Arizona back in February. Would love to do the entire route in one shot from Chicago to Los Angeles!
I think so, too. If you want to know the real America, you can't visit only New York or Miami, but you must know also places like Oklahoma and Arizona.
this video is calling me back on the road again. Just drove the coastal highway 1, canada and highway 5 back to san diego, but man! this is great thank you thank you, I've been beating by the road bug again. I must go.
I'm only fifteen, but I want to drive down the route 66 as my graduation trip. It'd be pretty sweet. Just cruisin' down with my friends, and my car and aaah.... so beautiful!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! What an awesome and unselfish video diary.. You have provided me the necessary UUUUMPH! to do what I've been wanting to do for many a moon, and that is ride the great Route 66 with some pals to capture a great part of American history!
I found the best time to do it is mid to late September. I did it at the end of September into October and had the best weather with no rain at all and mostly sunny with temps that ranged from mid 70's to upper 80's. However, when you do go, be sure to be prepared for anything.
This is fantastic. I'm from San Bernadino, CA, which is along Route 66 and consequently is home to the first fast food restaurant--the very first McDonalds! Thanks for the great vid.
Nice movie 3xposuremedia! I live in Brasil and i´m very interested in to make the total course of route 66. Now, this is my trip of the dreams! How much time you delayed to make the total course of Route 66? Do you have the script of the trip that you planned to send to me? How much you espent in dollar more or less? Very thaks.
I was under a little time constraint so I took a week to do the ride... it should be done slower. Motels each night cost from a low of $23 to a high of $50. I used an excellent route book I would recommend to anybody, even if you don't take the trip... "Route 66: EZ66 Guide for Travelers" by Jerry McClanahan. You can order it on Amazon.
Fuel was plentiful. Interstates 40, 44 and others parallel Route 66 close enough most of the time so gas was not a problem, and 66 runs through a lot of small and large towns. Since the bike gets about 40 mpg and a 5.2 gallon tank I never even saw the low fuel light go on, and that happens when there is over a gallon remaining.
Very nice video!! I cannot wait to travel Route 66, and again on a motorcycle!

Great stuff, although it is a little weird seeing the sights going from west to east. Very unusual, but that's the way you went, so it is what it is.
