Heirloom seeds are the only type of seed that is reproducable and untouched by our govt. Sadly, companies on the computer have jumped on this knowing the people are waking up to the fact that the FDA is poisoning us. They are selling "survival seed kits" for a large chunk of change. Here in WV I can get heirloom seed pretty cheap, if anyones interested I would be more than happy to help you get s varity of heirloom seeds. I dont want to make a profit, just help ppl get away from govt poison..
people who don't have land..... they must develop a very valuable skill such as a doctor or engineer so they will have value in any surviving society they come across. They must also make many friends with people who have large influences. There is still hope for survival with those who have no land. One you have value, people who see value in you, will help you. (Eg. you help a community develop solar and wind power for their homes, they will probably give you a place to stay and eat.)

Genetically engineered seeds don't reproduce, that's why you need heirloom seeds. You can use this years crop to make more seeds for next year and beyond, and even sell them (or barter since money will only be good for burning to keep your warm).
It take a hell of a lot more knowledge and experience to grow a garden that can support a family than simply buying a bunch of non-hybrid seeds. In fact, with all the plant diseases out there, hybrid plants may be easier to grow for people with none or little experience. If you want to prepare for the downturn, start a garden and start getting experience. Having seeds is essential; but without the knowledge of how to cultivate them and care for the plants, it may be useless.

Heirloom seeds are the only type of seed that is reproducable and untouched by our govt. Sadly, companies on the computer have jumped on this knowing the people are waking up to the fact that the FDA is poisoning us. They are selling "survival seed kits" for a large chunk of change. people who don't have land..... they must develop a very valuable skill such as a doctor or engineer so they will have value in any surviving society they come across. They must also make many friends with people who have large influences. There is still hope for survival with those who have no land. One you have value, people who see value in you, will help you. (Eg. you help a community develop solar and wind power for their homes, they will probably give you a place to stay and eat.)

--Valid, but still too simple. The conditions within a country are the product of that nation's own policies, and the policies other nations have in regards to that country. Mexico, for instance, is far from the worst place in the world (though it's getting bad), but people are trying to escape because the US fares much better.

supposedly some states/counties/towns have made gardens illegal... can't grow your own food. Community pantries and gardens are having to overcome some gov issues as well. Also, how do we get around the fact that non-hybrids are not immune to the high aluminum contents being dumped on us? Believe me, I would love to have non GM fruits and veggies. Genetically engineered seeds don't reproduce, that's why you need heirloom seeds. You can use this years crop to make more seeds for next year and beyond, and even sell them (or barter since money will only be good for burning to keep your warm).

It take a hell of a lot more knowledge and experience to grow a garden that can support a family than simply buying a bunch of non-hybrid seeds. In fact, with all the plant diseases out there, hybrid plants may be easier to grow for people with none or little experience. If you want to prepare for the downturn, start a garden and start getting experience. Having seeds is essential; but without the knowledge of how to cultivate them and care for the plants, it may be useless.

In fact, there is almost unanimous consent among critical scholars today that Jesus existed. You have the 9 authors of the NT in the bible, over 20 early church writers outside of the bible and 9 secular sources which I will list in another post incase you want to research them.

There are just as many non-Christian sources for Jesus’ existence as there are for his! To compare the total number of sources between Jesus and Tiberius Caesar it’s 42:10. There are over 4 times as many sources for Jesus’ life and deeds than for Tiberius Caesar’s. If one is going to doubt the existence of Jesus, one must also reject the existence of Tiberius Caesar.

Also, I said "within" 150 years… There is evidence that the first creed that was being used in the early churches dates back to 2-5 years after Jesus’ resurrection. I can’t write it all here as there is not enough room but I can direct you to some research tools if you truly want to research it.

Matthew simply chose to mention one angel –the angel that rolled away the stone and was sitting on top of it (Matthew 28:2) and John tells us (John 20:12) about the two angels who were inside the tomb. Even in today’s society, it’s perfectly acceptable for reporters, who are writing about the same event or person, to include or omit details that others do not. If the Gospels had all said exactly the same thing in the same way, they would have been discredited long ago on grounds of collusion.

The only problem is that in a real crisis, does anyone believe that the government will allow them to keep their acre or more of land to plant seeds on? There are already emergency powers that allow the President to seize all means of production and that includes any land being used to grow food. They also have the right to break up and redistribute hoards of food and other important supplies. You'll end up planting your survival garden just in time to be escorted from the premises at gunpoint.

The thing I don't like about this company is the lack of ability to select what I wish to grow. A good many of the seeds included are not the type I grow and eat. Further more they are not tailored to specific regions. I can and do buy heirloom seeds from burpee. I get what I want and grow what I eat. We have already begun canning as they ripen on the plant. As for those who fear those with guns, they may get my garden, but most will end up worm bait.

@TeachESL Non Hybrid seeds reproduce from themselves. Hybrid seeds will not reproduce, therefore you have to buy new seeds everytime. With non hybrid you can save seeds from a tomatoe this year and grow tomatoes next year. The only kind of seeds to buy.
