I drove this Lotus, I mean, Tesla at a car show last week and its amazing how it does 0-60 in 3.9. If you do that in an american car, it would have a huge front mounted 600hp powerplant and you would shit yourself when the thing set off. However in the Tesla, its completly uneventful because its got Lotus tech and handling. I cant help thinking tho. What will happen to the car culture. Will people still go to racing and get excited over cars when the howl of the V12 and Rumble of the V8 is gone.

this is a big leap forwards making electric cars useable in every day life. of corse

we do need more than expensive sportscars, but to me its like a working concept,

showing that it is possible indeed. fuel those cars with solar-power and we all can forget

about that horrible idea of burning ( food) plants in our motors !

That's way it's rumoured a law to enforce sound effects on electric cars are on the way or at least is considered. Then you could download sounds to a car just like cell phone melodies. 8D

From 0:13 on it's seems to be "oversilenced" here - someone has cut out airflow's sound, begining was much more real.

On the other side, drivers have to take care about the road and what they are doing with the car. Only animals could be really endangered because they rely on earing more than sight, but motors are already emitting ultrasonic sounds that they should ear easily (and we can boost those if necessary)

liar. the real 2010 roaster's got the new "push button" transmission and carbon fiber hood elements as well as everything is now situated int he middle like the touch screen control panel instead of having it on the left hand-side of the driver.

The Fisker Karma has an awesome body too. I just wish it was full electric like the model s. The Karma and Volt will help make the transition, but I think they just present too many mechanical complications. Electric drives reduce maintenance costs, don't pair them with internal combustion.
