@josh1303 There are couple kits to convert to cock on opening that also replace the trigger with a much nicer one. In the 1980s the market was flooded with Swedish Mauser, all good quality, & I used dozens of them as the basis if some real fine custom hunting rifles. They were one of the most desired actions brought to my shop for customizing. I wish I'd kept one for myself! That cartridge is suited really well to most hunting in Canada, except Grizzly.
Ya this is an amazing hunting rifle and i plan to keep it for ever. I wouldn't mind getting a better bolt,but this rifle does very good. I love the 6.5
