this looks so amazing, wish I could have come and seen it. I'm performing Blithe Spirit by Noel Coward in Kneehigh style for my A Level piece, any tips from those who have done Noel Coward?!
My group and I performed this for our A-level peice and enjoyed every minute of it. We also came to see it at BAC, was truely awesome. I'm just witing notes on The Red Shoes for my written exam tomorrow!!
Saw this performance last night - absolutely breathtaking. I've always loved theatre, but "The Red Shoes" just blew me away. I found myself wanting to cry on the coach trip home - I wanted to watch it again and analyse each last detail, and I really wanted to talk to Giles King - I loved his portrayal as Lady Lydia. So hilarious, and he made the character his own.
Just got back from seeing this today. It was genuinely the best piece of Physical theatre I've ever laid eyes on. I enjoyed it so much that I've been looking into Kneehigh ever since I got home. It was the most unique piece of theatre ever and for that it deserves a lot of recognition! Thank you for the show.
@Ammeee123 Hi Ammeee, there is a wealth of information on our website which is well worth a look if you haven’t already. You can download an education pack about the Red Shoes from our website You might like to read Emma’s essay about Making a Show, or read the ‘comments’ sections for each individual show, as these contain directors comments, rehearsal blogs and more.
I saw this at the Battersea Arts Centre on saturday. You guys are spellbinding, best piece of theatre i've ever seen. I could not stop watching, it was hilarious, touching, moving, gritty and so much more. I am so glad I chose kneehigh as my practitioner for my A level performance. I have fallen in love with Kneehigh, and I don't think I'll ever fall out ot it.
We went to see this a while ago to help our A2 devised piece. I must admit after watching the trailer I thought "What am I letting myself in for?!"
The trailer does not do justice to the performance! It was AMAZING and one of the best I've ever seen!! The cast are all incredibly talented! I particularly liked the suitcases, the repetitive dance and the foot thing (inwards/outwards one).
Congratulations Kneehigh for an unforgettable performance and all the best for the future!! :)
Such a classic. This is actually one of their earliest shows, but its so good theyre putting on again. Ive seen this twice now and its just darn watchable. Such a great mix of explisate and subtle, hilarious and horrible, dance and speech. Another great triumph :)
