The F1 2009 is terrible, I hope they make F1 2010 good because I would love to compete online against other PS3 users and my friends.

Despite that this game was significantly dumbed down from the previous PC version in regards to the telemetry function (which is gone in this version) and the array of tuning and set features being greatly reduced it's still a very good game. If you can afford a good quality wheel (ie Logitech for example) it's boat loads of fun. Looking forward to the 2010 game though. Hope it isn't dumbed down even more.

in the other cars you can see the mirrors from the first person view, but because he chose to drive in the f2006 you cannot see the mirrors because the mirrors are mounted on the fide of the side pods

I am an avid Formula 1 aficionado and I must say that this game is by far the 2nd closest to the "real-deal" other than the simulators that the teams use. I believe that in order to really appreciate this game you have to be a hardcore fan of F1. It is sad that this game's development didn't continue on past the 2006 season but for now it'll do. That's of course, if Codemasters can out do a very well made and realistic piece of work that Studio Liverpool has created.

I will agree with you in reference to the fact that this game could have been better but there is no perfect game and this one has much to improve upon.

Considering the game was developed in late 2006, it was spot on for it's time. I would have liked to see a safety car among many things but the fact of the matter is that among licensed Formula 1 videogames, this truly is the best. The experience that you take from game is more important than the graphics, the sound and even the replay value.

yes I do think about that. for it's year of publication it's pretty good. and the safety car... the accidents in that game suck so theres no need for a s.c unless someone blows a motor. it is the best though. it's the only one on next gen systems. I think 09 will be the best. I know it will.

I think that the upcoming game will look and sound better than this one but I am not confident that Codemasters has what it takes to make this game something other than "Dirt & "Grid", which is the only experience they have in racing games.

Only time will tell though but like I said before I wouldn't put my money on them. =(

I'm not sure on how to unlock the "FW16" vehicle in the game but I know that in order to unlock the Jerez Test Circuit, you have to obtain a gold medal award in all the race tracks in time trial mode.

oh yeah i have, to unlock the fw16 you have to become world champion in career mode (do it on easy and you can win everything in a super aguri) and to unlock jerez you have to get all golden terget times in time trial.

This game isn´t realistic. Is good por playing, the head movement and some other small things (pit stops for example). Graphics can be better, an phisics much more.

If you wanna try a good realistic game, well LFS and rfactor are good. GT5, and race07 (i just played the 1st) are good options too.

firstly vibration is too serious for a driver to see anything in the mirrors anyway and secondly they trialled using the red light as a brake light a few years back, possibly only for one race as a safety feature but they scrapped it for whatever reason, this is a shit video anyway, ignore it.

the readon you can't see the wing mirrors is because ferrari has put their mirrors on the air intakes to make it more aero dynamic, I can guarantee that if you choose any other car and go into first person you will be able to see the wing mirrors
