  • that's why i love humain weapon,, they always give you some history knowledge about how the art started, where, etc and then there is a final battle with a world/national champion, can't get any better!

  • Winning matches is one thing , winning street fight is another ... unfourtunately i cant ever see myself using jst judo if im confronted , sure id use sumthing like a hipthrow ... in all seriousness judo is a great sport where as jiu jitsu is a martial art for the streets

  • @SilenTwolF23100 excuse me, did u just said that jiu jitsu is good for street fight?

and also have u ever hitted concrete with someones head?

its your problem if you attack people but for defending on the street judo is superior against every other technique. just w9 for the oponent to get close and when u can reach his shirt he is ex...

  • @SuperPantagana i havent hit anoyones head on conrete no but obviously i have done throws on people . waiting for someone to get close thou ... isitn a very good idea on the street and u need strikes and chockes and kicks jst grappling wount do mate if a dude has a knife n ur backed against a wall i wouldint advise trying to grapple with him if u value ur life

  • @SilenTwolF23100

most of people will get scared of someone with a knife.

trying to kick person holdin a knife is not smarter idea than grappling with him because u can easily get cut, and with grappling u just have to track and immobilze his arm which is not a problem since that is what u are pracitising...

also, there is no better situation for fighting more guys than back turned to wall, so please w8 for few years and come here to coment after you get into some trouble on the street.

  • @SuperPantagana i obviously have fought on the street with people with knifes or without and kick a guy in the leg and u might break it , then u dnt have to fight at all ? if u dnt break it at least it would immobolize him , grabbing someones arm isint as easy as that and i doub someone will cut you if you give them a low kick because A) its low so they will most likely wount react in time B) legs tend to be longer than arms so if ur at a kicking distance they wount reach you

  • @SilenTwolF23100

LOL this comment of yours says it all! Youre gonna try kicking a guy who has a knife? Good luck with that.... :(

  • @SkemeKOS id jst avoid fighting all together martial arts or no people can still get their ass kicked :/

  • @SilenTwolF23100

Thats very true but in general, its better to know martial arts than not to know it.

  • @SkemeKOS yes thts true but sometimes people get overconfident because they think that martial arts make u stronger and faster but this isint karate kid or something lyk tht "u get over confident it will cost u" - unfourtunately thts how i see it but hey i might be wrong im jst expressing my point of view i might be wrong for all we know

  • @SilenTwolF23100

No, I think youre right and was actually going to say the same thing. Thats why I said "generally".

  • @SilenTwolF23100

    Watch these -

    /watch?v=3kEH0WJqPZU

    &

    /watch?v=37XiSn81oFw

  • @SkemeKOS hmmm ... tht video don't work dude :/

  • @SilenTwolF23100

Thats strange. I just checked them and they worked for me.

    Oh well. :/

  • @SuperPantagana unless its a freakisly tall guy , also being backed against the wall is not a good thing u cannot step back if you need to and ur opponent/s have surrounded you ,even if u manage to throw one how will u deal with the rest ? they can easily hit u before u get a chance to execute the throw , plus there will be a struggle on the street nobody will let you throw them like an partner would on the mat

  • @SilenTwolF23100 too much would, should, could...

  • @SuperPantagana it's done deal, i did it more than few times

  • @SuperPantagana nothing is for certain , everything is a chance really sometimes you win sometimes you dont

  • @SilenTwolF23100

We should just forget about martial arts and carry shotguns because thats the only way youre going to get out of that crazy scenario you just described. Why put such an unfair scenario on judo/BJJ???

Tell me what your favourite martial art is so I can make an unfair scenario for you and your martial art.

  • @SilenTwolF23100 and when u do, just remember what i was talking.

with judo as your primar technique, some boxing basis, and enought nuts u can harass in street or bar fight...

  • i love judo too...but ju jutsu kick aassss !!!

  • what if the attacker dont wear top a shirt

  • @Brady2k10 Oh I know the strengths of Judo - I coach it virtually every day and @feidtublec...it's the level of study into the throws that have made Judo so strong at what it does; yet it still has strikes - unfortunately in [modern, sport] Judo only found in Kata & not concentrated on. Some system still have it (Kyushindo) but never as strong as a Jujitsu like Tenshinryu. Krav IS effective when well taught and practiced, find a good school! If your UK then pm me, happy to help with no BS ok.

  • 4:03 Shoryuken :D

  • i like krav maga because its easy to learn, and easy to master, and to me its the most effective art or self defence system simply because i know it works, where as if someones throwing punches at you rapidly which is what they do in a street fight, they aint gonna stand there whilst you grab there arm and do some flashy take down there gonna do everything to beat you, and krav dont have any bullshit in it, its defend then hit vulnerable and painful parts on the guys body, balls, eyes, throat

  • if you want to be a bad ass street fighter, who can really own people go for krav maga and judo, that way you cover striking, grappling and groundwork

  • @Brady2k10 I think you're right about Krav Maga, especially for street combat. What i never understood is in which way Judo is more "scientific" or more "evolved" than Jujitsu. I mean: when someone reads the story of japanese martial arts he is led to think that Judo has less than Jujitsu, simply because it focuses on the unarmed part and there are no kicks and punches. It is not a case like Krav Maga (born for soldiers, to be simple to teach and immediately effective, not to be a sport).

  • @feidtublec i plan to take judo up soon, then krav maga, because i want to really feel confident that i can defend myself if i need too, before i did some other martial arts but i ended up leaving them because i didnt feel they would help me in a real fight, wu shu kwan was one (chinese kickboxing) was awesome to kick really high, but on the street if someone grabs my leg when i go for a kick im fucked, then i tried karate, which was kinda good but lacked the "dirty" you find on the street

  • so basically do you want 50/50 throws and groundwork or 20/80 throws and groundwork? id choose 50/50

  • I TREAN judo and is the BEST ♥

  • Bill complains too much. When the Tokai professors showed him Uchi Mata he started up with the "well, it's great if you can remember all the things ya gotta do and blah blah blah." and then here they show him Tomoe Nage and he starts pontificating again about how this throw he's never practiced before is impossible and yada yada. SHUT UP YOU DON'T KNOW SQUAT!

  • oh coool, nice to a see a kiwi in there :) robert maran.

  • @dieslowly0473 Kiw?

  • wooooo bas rutten

  • shit, why did I have to quit judo back in the days :/....

  • 8:43 Jason tries to use the scissor takedown from sambo

  • Why does he wear a hakama? I thought you didn't have those in judo, only in aikido and similar forms.

  • Those police guys look like beasts.

  • lol! it looks like all Japanese are Black Belts

  • @sprawlmessiah In Japan, you don't have coloured belts, only black and white. The coloured belts were invented because we will progress more slow which is because we are not used to train everyday.

  • @FearThisChannel

In Japan, there are coloured belts. Trust me.

  • Mitsuyo Maeda was a trained Jujitsu fighter who had moved over to Judo, he was sent to America by judo's founder Jigoro Kano and eventually settled in Brazil during the 1920's. This is the origin of BJJ and the primary reason why they (BJJ) specialise in ground fighting (Newaza) - the roots of BJJ lay in Judo.

    All good stuff!

  • @talkdowntakedown that was awesome dude thanks

  • @talkdowntakedown thats true but in a real fight against multiple attackers thats where BJJ is seriously useless, i mean you cant go to the ground if theres like 3 attackers, which is why i prefer judo, however if theres only one guy then BJJ works amazingly, but so does judo, see you have to be able to get the guy down first, and judo is a lot better at that than BJJ thanks to the throws, BJJ has throws, but Judo focuses more on them, whilst BJJ focuses more on groundwork

  • 3:38 - Now let's try Judo vs. BRAZILIAN jiu jitsu!...BJJ FOREVER!

  • @LidarDan15 but bjj is jiu jitsu...

  • @LidarDan15 No way. Judo is an effective martial art and so is BJJ, but it is in no way 'better' than other arts.

  • interesting. I never knew samurai armor was made of leather and silk rather than metal (or chain mail) like the european Knights.

  • @Passions55 some of it was. full samurai armour is considered some of the best ever created.

  • @pacbizkit I heard it took half an hour to put it on because it was so much. LOL

  • I love judo

  • @vampred29 "I love judo"
