@lovebigboobs29 You really are an idiot. Humans cannot digest raw meat, period. Saying "my friend does and he's fine" will not change that. IT WILL KILL YOU.
@lovebigboobs29 No, just no. Don't even try that, meat contain immense amount of deadly pathogens, it needs to be sanitized for us to eat it, period. One meal of raw meat will make you sick, at best. Humans cannot live off of raw meat and vegetation, we can live of of vegetation. We are far closer to herbivores than omnivores.
@VeganBear83 So until you know what the fuck you are saying quit spouting off lies. That's the problems with vegans they think they know everything about nutrition and what we should or should not eat. Vegan may be healthy to some but a balanced diet is even healthier.
@lovebigboobs29 Seriously are you mentally ill? Saying humans can't eat raw meat isn't claiming I know everything. HUMANS CANNOT SURVIVE ON RAW MEAT AND VEGETATION. RAW MEAT WILL KILL YOU!
I <3 you and Freelea..keep on doing your thing! You are the reason why I strive to be a better vegan. Someday I will have enough guts like you guys to get out there and spread the word about veganism. I come from a big meat eating/hunting family. They don't get it...but I sure as hell do! :-)
@janjanbajanjan well the reason humans car run long distance is because thats the origanal way we hunted. rather than trying to out run animals we could run them at a gallop till exhaustion. and our bodys are designed to eat meat (along with veggies) if we weren't ment to eat it why should we be able to digest it properly. and it has nutrition in it we need ( yes i know you can get it else where but meat is a big source of a lot of the nutrition we need.
@nickmorganmusic Nope. Our jaws and round, our teeth are mostly flat. Our intestines are long. The human body is obviously a vegetarian body. Meat eaters . Lions, tigers, bears, wolves eat they're flesh raw my friend. Just because we can digest something and poop it out does not mean its natrual or good for you. The protein myth has been debunked also, protein is omino acids. All living foods, and plants have omino acids. Theres more USUABLE protein in an avocardo than a pound steak. Research(:
@Antiks72 Yeah... But cooking is not apart of nature. The idea is to clean the body out. Its not hungry for food, its hungry for nutriants in which the foods we eat now are avoiding all nutrients. Using up all of our bodies reserves. Meat is very adic/mucus forming for humans. We are alkaline beings in need of an alkaline diet. Durian rider eats mostly fruit.. The spinach & kale we have today is very weak in nutrient value. But wild herbs have roots that go deep and are very rich.
@Antiks72 Also, when people do raw foodism right.. They start to feel better. But they also start to need less food. Like i said, your body is starving for nutriants. Once you clean your body off all the mucus forming foods. You wont need much food at all. Durian rider has that wrong. We dont need 3000 calories a day. We just need a rounded diet. Fruit is good for cleaning the body. But we need the leafy greens, nuts and seeds. Research dr sebi alkalizing diet. We are just wannabe meat eaters.
@nickmorganmusic Besides, saying because we can run fast is a tool for hunting and slaughtering. No WAY in the jungle in our natrual tropical climate could we catch an animal and tackle it with our bare hands.. Kill it on the spot and eat it. These creatures are our friends. Theres two types.. Carnivour and herbivours, We are herbiviours. For people who are still in denile, theres the all so wonderfull china study. Fruit for energy and carbs, leafy greens for protein, nuts&seeds for fat. Simples
I love your little "oh dear, that's so mean to kill an animal!" sarcasm. If you can't get past the fact that ANIMALS ARE FOOD - whether it is for humans or other animals - then I don't know how you dress yourself without help in the morning.
@CBasie2856 Roots, tubers, bugs, leaves, some meat "mainly carrion" and anything that we could fit in our mouths that didn't kill us. We have fossilized Coprolite samples from Australopithecus which gives us insight to their diet, None of today's domesticated crops were available to early hominids, They were very poisonous. Thanks
actually in the beginning, believe it or not, we didn't eat meat, but we only ate fruits and vegetables. Thousands of melons all year round from the garden were available to us, and herbs. Those were the foods that could make us look remarkably younger and live remarkably longer. Don't forget early humans fasted every once in a while. Fasting changes the gene expression and hormones, so that your skin gets tighter and more younger looking.
@CBasie2856 It's really tough to say with certainty what types of fruits and vegetables our ancestors ate the African Savannah really limited what type of plants would grow there, I can believe they ate herbs and definitely had a sweet tooth, But recent test samples of 2 million yr old teeth shows they did eat certain types of grass and meat. Not for sure there proportions on the two but it probably varied at different times of the seasons. Survival can be brutal, Thanks
@CBasie2856 The concept of fasting never crossed my mind nor the effects it would have had on early hominids, If they understood and practiced it that would be amazing. Thanks
well fasting effects all animals. It actually is a natural way for all animals to restore health.
But nowadays, people that go on long fasts don't usually do well. Its probably because the gene expression is so messed up from all this junk food. When people ate good food, the gene expression was better, so you probably could fast for longer without your body eating your organs away.
Jesus water fasted for 40 days, the diet was pretty simple back then.
@CBasie2856 We fast for about a week in spring and fall "religious reasons" and it really does help, I believe you nailed it when you said people now days are not adapted to fast, Their bodies are so contaminated with man made toxins that they are addicted to them and when they deny their bodies these toxins you get a violent reaction. "I didn't know that about Jesus". Thanks
I think humans have the option to eat meat, but also not to. The art of vegan lifestyle is probably to listen to you inner (stomach) voice and select the vegetable with a good variety to avoid malnutrition and compensate for stuff that one would pick up through meat.
You know people do sometimes reason that we should eat meat because animals do. Also vegans argue that we are different but don't talk about evoltion maybe being a part of the reason even animals eat meat and maybe they have the teeth and parts they do. Soooooo I am a fruitarian. It makes complete since to me to eat the food that the tree gives freely because I wouldn't want to be dinner and meat eaters seem to be angrier, more violent, less open to new ideas.
@usurynation Cows are given hormones so they excrete milk at a much higher amount than needed & long after having calves. They are given antibiotics to stop pus production in the over used & inflamed utters but a certain amount of pus & blood is deemed ok so says the FDA. They are fed mostly GMO corn instead of their natural grass diet. They are kept in tiny stalls in their own crap & their young calves are taken away soon after birthing. Thats how milk gets to the table. For B12 take a pill.
Very upsetting seeing the poor pigs. How can anyone do that? They probably have so much brain fog they can't see properly. They may well find themselves as a pig in their next life, but I hope no one has to ever get tied up like that.
BTW don't you think it's a bit lame to try and push your vegan propaganda by showing B grade atheletes who happen to be vegan? It would've been better if you showed the all of the Olympic gold medalists and world champions who are vegans instead??? OHH THAT'S RIGHT THERE ARE NONE
@1imesub so let me get this strait... performance enhancing drugs are what matter and diet(vegan or omnivorous) has nothing to do with it??? You're an idiot, a complete idiot. I don't mind the fact that people choose to be vegans because this reason or that, but don't lie to yourselves and everyone else about what it is and isn't.
@groundnpounder Oh shut up... I can speak from personal experience, unlike you. I ate an omnivorous diet for the first 20 years of my life, then I gave up meat, dairy and eggs for the next 11 years. I know for a fact that I am much healthier now than I was back then. Without performance enhancing drugs, many of the top athletes would not be where they are today. If you don't realize this by now, you're living in a fantasy dream world. Plants provide all the nutrients Humans need to thrive.
@1imesub I won't shut up... and you stating that you "know for a fact" that you're healthier now because of being vegan doesn't make you any less of an idiot. Among the many things you don't "know for a fact" is the nature of food/diet, sport and the relationship between the two. Insinuating that diet has nothing to do with great athletes while steroids and performance enhancing drugs do shows how little you know.
@1imesub And saying that most(more than 50%) great atheletes are on steroids/PED's is not based on anything other than your own imagination, but if you have evidence please let us all know. Steroids/PED's can only impact the following things strength/power, recovery time, stamina...they don't can't give a boxer better reflexes or a footballer better coordination or make a fighter cut weight easier or a judoka better technique or a gymnast the discipline to train hard and sacrifice.
@1imesub Champions are made out of alot more things than drugs and one those things is a balanced diet with animal products in it.... Plants may well provide all the nutrients humans need to thrive just not to be an elite athlete.. you're still an idiot.
@groundnpounder You're absolutely right... I forgot to mention all the supplements they take as well. You're incorrect about the need for animal body parts in one's diet however. Listen to what Durianrider is saying in these videos and learn; he breaks it down so that even the most simple-minded, mouth-breathing rednecks can understand. Believe in yourself, everyone is capable of learning.
@1imesub I'm not wrong. I said "Plants may well provide all the nutrients humans need to thrive just not to be an elite athlete". That's not incorrect, why don't you watch Durianriders videos and learn from them.... who of those athletes is not a b grade outlier?? If you can't see what Durianrider is getting at then I'll tell you, if you're a vegan and you choose to be an athlete then the best you can hope for regardless of your talent and genetics is to be a b grade outlier. Think for yourself.
@groundnpounder "Plants provide all the nutrients humans need to thrive" is the first intelligent thing you've said. You are incorrect on the vegan B grade athlete status, however. The Roman Gladiators were vegan athletes; probably the greatest fighters the Earth has ever seen. The most successful conquerors in human history; Genghis Khan, Alexander the Great, and their armies lived on starches. Your ideas on the 'inferiority' of a plant based diet are completely wrong.
@1imesub omg, You said "Plants provide all the nutrients humans need to survive" what I actually said was "Plants may well provide all the nutrients humans need to thrive just not to be an elite athlete". Also please name the athletes on the video who are not b grade? Saying that I'm wrong doesn't make you correct, you have to back it up with evidence. Gladiators were slaves who killed eachother for the entertainment of others, their lives were cheap and inferior like their diets.
@groundnpounder What's your obsession with athletes? They don't matter; what they do doesn't matter. They aren't changing the world, they're just competing for money and fame. I already mentioned the gladiators; I don't think anyone we have today would even consider stepping in the ring with them. I also mentioned some of the greatest armies in history. Caesar's legions complained when they were given meat before a battle; they preferred plant based foods. Anyone can take drugs and cheat.
@1imesub Genghis Khans army came from Mongolia and Central Asia, they never did and still don't eat starches as they don't grow well there. They eat meat and animal products. But please entertain us all with why you think Ghengis Khan's Hoarde of Mongols lived on starches..
The vegan diet is as natural for humans as is being carnivorous and every degree of omnivorousness inbetween.... Why is it that you find issue with this durianrider?? Can't you just accept that people have been thriving on everything and anything(accept probably the modern western processed food diet) since day dot. Being a raw vegan is great if you have access to fresh food year round but not everybody does....yet they thrive as much as everyone else.
@usurynation B12 is only made by bacteria, not by any animal. It was in the dirt and before the industrial revolution there were enough B12 producing bacteria even for the vegetarian. Today we need to take a supplement thats all. =) Im sure there are studies done on this and I believe the recomendation is that everyone take a B12 supplement.. anyway I know we wont come to an agreement here, I enjoy the vegan lifestyle and I thrive on it. =) You should give it a go just to see how it is ;)
@usurynation No.. I`m 30 years old and I was an omnivore at times I was on the atkinson diet and I was on low end of the B12 scale even taking multivitamins... anyway.. B12 is the only argument against the vegan diet that really matters, the solution is to take 5 micrograms of B12 every day and thats that. Fact of the matter is, neither animal or plant creates B12, it is produced by bacteria only. =)
@usurynation I have not always been a vegan and I was taking B12 supplements and ate all kinds of animal and dairy products, I was low in B12 as well when I got it tested and had to take B12 injections. I suggest everyone take B12 supplements regardless of what diet they have and or drink B12 enriched foods. It is ok to be vegan and in many ways a better way to go, it is however important to supplement the weak spots and listen to your doctor if they say your child needs more B12. =)
@usurynation Just take a B12 supplement and you solve the problem, everyone sould do this includin the meat eaters. It is not complicated at all, if the lady had gone to the doctor they would have spotted it, there are probably more to the story than the media explains. Besides there are thousands of deaths related to a meat eating diet as well so if we are to compare I think the vegan side will stand victorious. Anyway, check out the Mcdougall diet if your interested, thats the one I eat. =)
Great video...it was uplifting, motivating and sad. Those farm animals go through alot and you made a good point, that even though the package says "free range" it doesn't mean the animal was any less abused. The visuals should really persuade anyone thats on the fence about making the transition to vegetarian/vegan etc. The grosses part was seeing the fedal pig curled up on the plate....ewwww!!!
@usurynation : if you can watch this, and not be affected, check yourself into your local mental hospital. you are part of the problem. time to be part of the solution.
Hi the pig looked scared and uncomfortable and l could clearly see that with my eyes and l didn't have to be physic to know this. On the other hand the fruit looked in ON pain or uncomfortable .
@usurynation Milk.. a sin cows milk, almost everything is wrong.. hmm let me correct that.. all of it is wrong. You get no benefits from Calcium, it has the wrong type of protein the species spesific casein, it has oxidized fat and cholestrol, it is the number 1 cause of allergies, it cause diabetis and in some cases functions as a psycodelic drug that triggers autism in prone population. B 12 is created by certain bacterias, both meat eaters and vegans are "low" on it, meat eaters more so.
14.31 must be the cutest thing I`ve ever seen! Yeah I`m a vegan, mostly due to health but I love animals too, to pet.. hmm I have actually tried Durian.. no idea how it taste likes.. the smell is kinda pointy.. yikes.. now I will remember that cute little is it a hedgehog? God bless all of you and have a wonderful health! Also check out Dr Mcdougall MD and Dr Walter J. Veith Phd they have amazing presentations on healthy living.
Has anyone else noticed that the vegan trend has passed? For a short while it was trendy, but it has "jumped the shark" so to speak because it is simply too unnatural. Plus, vegans tend to be so unpleasant and righteous that they can only be around each other, and since food nazis are some of the most unpleasant people to be around, they get bitter and unhappy (exacerbated, of course, by their debilitating diet.)
@durianrider Haha grow crops to feed livestock? What about all the organic fruit and veg crops that chop down vital peaces of enviromentally sustainable land to be put down. Your logic is funny because it applys to your own choices in eating as well.
@kingrotty Except for the fact that animals consume infinitely more food than they produce. That's not environmentally destructive or anything. It's so much better than having well more than enough land to produce well more than enough produce for everyone.
@bagginshates Sooo true, it seems the more these people depleate themself the more grumpy and hatefull they become. Just look at this persons channel. All it is, is a whole channel bashing other peoples beliefs. Its the same thing creationists do, evolve a whole theary based on how another persons theary must be wrong! Its like if I said, well god must exist, because the big bang is a loud of shit!! Thats called a racket, and its really one of the lowest ways to operate yourself out there.
I had a friend who was a vegan, but she ate meat once at a thanksgiving dinner and got sick. From this she concluded that her body was telling her meat was bad. She didn't know that her ability to digest meat had been (temporarily) damaged.
@bagginshates Meat has no fiber, it rots in your gut, just ask Daniel Vitalis to lift up his shirt. Take a can of air freshner if you use the same toilet, better yet, get a gas mask from army surplus shop.
@durianriders Hm its sad you show less respect to one life form then another I hope one day you see just how beautifull allll life is on this earth and that since the begining of time humanity has found a way to co-exist with these specais as being part of that circle of life. Its a sad hollywood ideal that we can just remove certain aspects of the food chain it and it will change the enviroment. Remember GMO soy and corn? ohhh whernt those great ideas.. its time we stope the blanket statments
Tackled my first vegan meal out with friends last night! as I was eating my veg I felt lightly envious of the meat eaters dishes- watching this, Hell no to that bring on the salad baby!!!!!
Another example that bad creates more bad. Unnatural causes endless problems. Meat-eating is even bad for carnivores: they sleep 18 hrs a day, die early, and their species doesn't grow(there's no tiger herds)
And Good creates Good: Happy, healthy fruit-eaters in the tropics: See "The Fruitarian in Sri Lanka"
@Gary1111001 hahhhahahaa wow...you are disregarding life forms that have been around since the beginning of time ... you yourself can choose to have a vegan lifestyle but seriously saying that an animals diet is not natural and bad for them?...nice try.
@ShekinahStarDove (my post wasn't too clear, but let's keep it mature - no need to laugh, especially with u saying some animals have been around since the beginning of time)
I make a point to look at animals to see what's natural
I didn't disregard. I think meat-eaters evolved to that diet... out of necessity(climate-caused lack of plant food). And although they evolved to eat meat, it's STILL not optimum nutrition.
Humans - on the other hand - haven't physically evolved into meat-eaters.
Durianriders, are you saying that indigenous peoples--all of whom hunt down and eat animals--are confused about a proper diet for themselves?
Seriously, your arguments are simplistic, e.g., the brain needs sugar so I eat sugar or holding up cute puppies. Everything dies and feeds into a cycle of life.
You have build a trap for yourself, defining yourself through your diet. You haven't been doing this for long enough for the long-term deficiencies to show up. But they will.
@bagginshates "indigenous" peoples don't all eat meat. That's simply what TV likes to show us - there's more action. But the tropics are the only place humans can eat off the land without tools. And they do: See "The Fruitarian in Sri Lanka"
"You haven't been doing this for long enough for the long-term deficiencies to show up. But they will." -- Boorring. Answer: Dr Graham, Orangutans, Bonobos, fruit bats, bees. Why aren't there "short-term" deficiencies?
@Gary1111001 If there is ANY indigenous culture where meat is not a regular part of the diet I'd like to know about it. Please enlighten me.
BTW, the only reason I am here engaging with vegans is because the United Nations would like to outlaw meat eating to reduce global warming, which is absurd for countless reasons. So, regrettably I am forced to point out the flaws in the vegan philosophy as a way to protect my own health from their attacks. Vegans leave me alone!
Now "bagginshts" says he's "interested" in a list of indigenous vegans. But from his 2nd paragraph of incoherent babble about the UN etc, I don't think he's sincere.
@Gary1111001 The "indigenous" are people who pre-date a life style characterized by living in cities--and by extension--all organized religions. I focus on indigenous people because they would eat food that is natural to their landscape and a diet that the human body has evolved to thrive upon.
All of your examples are relatively modern and influenced by artificial ideologies and are, therefore, unnatural. People do all sorts of crazy shit under the influence of organized religions.
@bagginshates "People do all sorts of crazy shit under the influence of organized religions" - I've noticed: Christmas ham, rituals of cannibalism
Well, by your definition, "indigenous" are people wouldn't necessarily have a name or be in the encyclopedia, You're looking for natural???? Society's aren't natural.
They've eat a diet that the human body has evolved to thrive upon" - We are :)) And we're thriving. I'm 42. I'm healing problems when most my age are developing them.
@Gary1111001 When you first start the vegan diet it is cleansing. But over time robs you of nutrients. There are many, many former vegans who had to give it up; I know several personally.
@bagginshates Former vegans isn't proof of anything. Alot more people are former meat-eaters. And Gold metalist Bode Miller has NEVER eaten meat, not to mention billions of animals.
Your going to have to be more specific: What is it about a meat-less diet that steals nutrients. for instance: Calcium is 'robbed' by excess protein from beans, grains, meat and dairy. Your turn.
@Gary1111001 Not interested in discussing religions...
Humans lived as hunter/gatherers for hundreds of thousands of years. This is the environment that our bodies (and minds) are adapted to. Doesn't it make sense to eat as hunter/gatherers do? And I repeat my claim that there are NO hunter/gatherer people who would not eat meat. Veganism is only possible among the most domesticated people.
@Gary1111001 As to you calling "incoherent babble" my claim that the UN wants to curb meat consumption
due to "global warming" you are simply ill-informed. Google "pachauri meat".
Pachauri later had to resign in disgrace for his ridiculous claim that Himalayan glaciers could melt away by 2035.
Anyway, back on track here, I don't care what you vegans eat, but you seem very interested in what I eat. Harley posts his flames on non-vegan forums. Why is that? Why are vegans so righteous?
@bagginshates I think it's funny you mention endigenous people... I remember a documentary I saw on a indegenous tribe where they showed what they ate it was all plant-based exept for honey and ONE animal they kill each year for religious reasons.
I've been vegeterian for 1,5 years and NOW I'm turning vegan - thanks to your channel & other awsome vegans / raw vegans that share their opinions here on Youtube!
@cchloesparks im so happy you now considered going vegan!! your gonna love it ...listen to durian rider...i never ate fruit or anything like that for years as vegetarian or even after trying raw so i could get "protien " in ...HUGE mistake ..was really bad for me!! now everything is lovely and better than it ever has been
You take a hit at non-vegans by sarcastically stating that "Lions eat meat, so that means humans should too. Cuz our teeth and digestive system are exactly the same ain't it?" Do you really think non-vegans are stupid to the point that they resolve to eat meat because they see lions doing it? I think a non-vegan is smart enough to not make that connection. No, our digestive system is not exactly like that of a lion. But it's not exactly like that of a chimpanzee or gorilla either. Yet...(cont.)
@RawGreenLiving Hey wigglewozer, go read my comments on other videos and have some debates with them about when they say 'but harley, my cat eats meat so that means I should doesnt it?'
@RawGreenLiving he's making the point that if we eat meat why discriminate? eat your dog. why don't we salivate when we see a cow? i really doubt we have a natural need for eating meat. i never crave or want it. i love eating light easily digested foods and that seems pretty natural and right for me.
@RawGreenLiving I've heard meat eaters use the lion eat meat argument many times actually! ''Lion eat meat and they don't get colon cancer and heart attacks so it must not be that bad'' or '' Lions eat meat and they're strong so it's good for building muscle''
Ok that's not all meat eaters who are that stupid but there's still people who think with lousy logic like that!
While it was hard to stomach, I appreciate you showing how the pigs are 'stored' on the street...especially contrasting the shot with those humans standing around playing darts. Ahhh...if the roles were reversed.
@patryksky Well if you remove a specie of animal that depends
on high calories from fruit to survive then you are doomed if that specie (human) has been out of the jungle for the last few thousand years and actually chopped down 90% of the worlds jungles...Its like leaving your house for 50 years and going back and expecting all the machines, heating, cooling etc to work properly with out any maintenance (fruit seed distribution). Does that make sense?
cool song. most raw vegans like animals, i found when i went low fat raw vegans, i started to look at animals different. i started not to trust them. both carnivores and herbivores. i don't like animals in my personal space, my natural instincts have been resurfaced.
oh my lord. those pigs were so deeply saddening. thanks for sharing that powerful imge of them being tied up and suffering unnecessarily. i hope it resonates deeply with people...
@RawGreenLiving Thats like saying its wrong not to fuck your mother cos other animals do. Its wrong to use a computer cos other animals dont. Its wrong to not shit in public cos other animals do. Its wrong not to fuck your little sister in public cos other animals do..
Does that make sense? Cos birds can fly does that mean we should jump of cliffs and try?
@durianriders Thank you, people use this playgroud logic and expect dignified responces. Its not a debate when people pull out "I know you are but what am I" type of responces, its just childish
@RawGreenLiving My argument is from a moral and ethical point of view. If it was morally and ethically wrong to eat animals, then no animal on this planet would eat another animal because they would have the sense not to do so. But that isn't the case is it? Even some of our closest primate relatives eat other animals. The decision to not eat animals is completely a manmade concept. Our ancestors ate animals tens of thousands of years ago. If it killed them, they would have stopped.
@Nutzername36 You're right, we don't have to kill anymore. We do have agriculture. But that wasn't always the case. Our ancestors ate animals. Would you say to them that it was morally and ethically wrong to do so at that time?
@RawGreenLiving no i wouldn´t. if i die of hunger i think i would even kill humans to eat them but i would wait as long as possible. but i´m not starving in fact i´m eating a big bowl of cereal with appel, maca, ginseng and B12 for breakfast. yam! :D
That argument is a trite attempt to evade responsibility. Humans have a choice. We humans HAVE created ethics, because it applies to our live where we have choices. If we are responsible, then we take those choices with due heft.
Other animals do not have choices like we do. Humans can thrive, if they desire, on a vegan diet. We also have the capacity to make such decisions based on how to affect others. That is why WE can make that choice NOW.
@xrodolfox Would you say that our ancestors tens of thousands of years ago were irresponsible to eat animals for food? Yes, humans can thrive on a vegan diet. That doesn't mean that ALL humans can thrive on a vegan diet. Humans also can thrive eating animals. Take the Eskimos for example. What is irresponsible are factory farms where animals are tortured, not allowed to roam free, or eat their natural diets. I will agree to that.
Lack of taking responsibility only occurs if a person has a choice. Eskimo and ancient humans didn't really have a choice.
What you are doing here is a logical fallacy called, "appeal to tradition" mixed in with some fetishization of ancient peoples. That's really a cop out: CURRENTLY, humans can thrive on a vegan diet (as well as just about any other diet). We have a choice.
It is unethical to eschew responsibility for killing animals for pleasure (taste) rather than need.
@xrodolfox Morals and ethics are learned and taught. Were you born a vegan? If so, your parents must have been vegan. If not, you must have learned of veganism through inquiry and observation. My question is: Is it wrong for a person to eat animals if they were never taught or were made aware of the moral and ethical implications of vegan principles?
People do not kill animals merely for pleasure. There are indigenous cultures to this day that rely on animals for nourishment. Are they wrong?
Morals are taught, but ethics are derived, just like scientific knowledge. If someone never explored the ethics of eating animals, responsibility on that person.
However, as WESTERN CULTURE, that is not an excuse. The mass killing of animals for pleasure, not nutrition, is a matter of both individual choice and public policy. Talking about eskimo is a red herring (another fallacy). This is about us, in the present, not about humans in another culture far removed from choices.
@xrodolfox Like I said before, people do not kill animals merely for pleasure. You are wrong if you think so. I used the Eskimos as an extreme example as they thrive in harsh cold weather eating more than 95% of their diet from animals. Aside from them, there are still cultures around the world to this day that rely on animals for food to survive. Are you saying that since they are "far removed from choices" that it's ok for them to eat animals then?
Bringing Eskimo into a discussion about what modern humans can do NOW is a red herring. It is irrelevant. It's akin to me saying, "it is unethical to murder" and as a defense of your own actions, you bring up battered women. Eskimo have nothing to do with this. Red Herring = Logical fallacy.
Humans living in the global north have no excuse. For them, eating animals is not for nutrition, since eating animals isn't needed for health. It is tradition and pleasure. Not good enough.
@durianriders Real world examples? Eskimos are real world examples. There are people in Alaska who still eat the same way to this day. How about tribes in Saharan Africa? Real world example right? Or is it not a real world example if it's not YOUR world Harley? Since they have no choice, is it then ok for them to eat animals? Do morals and ethics not apply to those who don't have a choice?
Nice video. The pigs wrapped in leaves was hard to watch. Although humans are naturally omnivores. We can live off a vegan diet. There can we healthy vegans and unhealthy vegans as with omnivores. Do other fellow vegans get as tired as me from hearing the same old shit from people?
Let's say you're eating some veggies and someone says "Oh that poor carrot all it was doing was sitting in the ground and blah blah blah"
Funny how different they react to a news report on a dog being treated poor.
the puppy and the stilleto, please dont put this in as i watched the kitten one and actually became traumatised. I am a vegan, those poor pigs, these people lack empathy and intelligence.
Oh all those pigs made me cry. I am so sad what animals are put through. I am glad you are showing the truth but I can not watch things like that is makes me sick.
Thanks for showing the truth and being brave enough to put up with all the haters.
On the indisputable grounds that it is unhealthy, unnecessary and by all means immoral I shall judge. I will not be silenced because someones feelings have been hurt. I don't care if I hurt a meat eaters feelings. It's quite irrational for one to say do not judge another for there dietary choice when there choices involve the inhuman murdering of billions of other inhabitants of the earth. Eating animal foods is a weak gutless cowards Lifestyle, its completely un necessary and damaging to Humanity and the earth
its Indisputable and undeniable that Humans are naturally by design and our biology Raw Vegans, Eating animals is illogical and blatantly stupid , the only reason for Eating animal foods is ignorance , its that simple

@lovebigboobs29 You really are an idiot. Humans cannot digest raw meat, period. Saying "my friend does and he's fine" will not change that. IT WILL KILL YOU.

@lovebigboobs29 Are you retarded? Have you ever taken a biology class?
VeganBear83 1 week ago
Omnivore diet is natural for humans. Not the vegan diet. We are in no way herbavores or frugavores. We are 100% omnivores.
lovebigboobs29 1 week ago
@lovebigboobs29 Omnivores can live off of raw meat and vegetation. Humans stomachs are weak and can only digest cooked meat.
VeganBear83 1 week ago
@VeganBear83 Actually we can digest raw meat but choose to cook it. I have a friend whom actually likes raw meat.
lovebigboobs29 1 week ago
@lovebigboobs29 No, just no. Don't even try that, meat contain immense amount of deadly pathogens, it needs to be sanitized for us to eat it, period. One meal of raw meat will make you sick, at best. Humans cannot live off of raw meat and vegetation, we can live of of vegetation. We are far closer to herbivores than omnivores.
VeganBear83 1 week ago
@VeganBear83 So until you know what the fuck you are saying quit spouting off lies. That's the problems with vegans they think they know everything about nutrition and what we should or should not eat. Vegan may be healthy to some but a balanced diet is even healthier.

animals are meant to eat. we as humans are designed to hunt and eat meat.
nickmorganmusic 4 months ago
@nickmorganmusic no. not true. proof please?
janjanbajanjan 4 months ago
@janjanbajanjan well the reason humans car run long distance is because thats the origanal way we hunted. rather than trying to out run animals we could run them at a gallop till exhaustion. and our bodys are designed to eat meat (along with veggies) if we weren't ment to eat it why should we be able to digest it properly. and it has nutrition in it we need ( yes i know you can get it else where but meat is a big source of a lot of the nutrition we need.
nickmorganmusic 4 months ago
@nickmorganmusic Nope. Our jaws and round, our teeth are mostly flat. Our intestines are long. The human body is obviously a vegetarian body. Meat eaters . Lions, tigers, bears, wolves eat they're flesh raw my friend. Just because we can digest something and poop it out does not mean its natrual or good for you. The protein myth has been debunked also, protein is omino acids. All living foods, and plants have omino acids. Theres more USUABLE protein in an avocardo than a pound steak. Research(:
nextinline777 2 months ago
@nextinline777 Humans don't eat raw meat, we cook it. Oh, and meat is good for you.
Antiks72 1 month ago
@Antiks72 Yeah... But cooking is not apart of nature. The idea is to clean the body out. Its not hungry for food, its hungry for nutriants in which the foods we eat now are avoiding all nutrients. Using up all of our bodies reserves. Meat is very adic/mucus forming for humans. We are alkaline beings in need of an alkaline diet. Durian rider eats mostly fruit.. The spinach & kale we have today is very weak in nutrient value. But wild herbs have roots that go deep and are very rich.
nextinline777 1 month ago
@Antiks72 Also, when people do raw foodism right.. They start to feel better. But they also start to need less food. Like i said, your body is starving for nutriants. Once you clean your body off all the mucus forming foods. You wont need much food at all. Durian rider has that wrong. We dont need 3000 calories a day. We just need a rounded diet. Fruit is good for cleaning the body. But we need the leafy greens, nuts and seeds. Research dr sebi alkalizing diet. We are just wannabe meat eaters.
nextinline777 1 month ago
@nextinline777 My body gets plenty of nutrients, and yes I eat fruit.

Simples

CBasie2856 6 months ago
@CBasie2856 Roots, tubers, bugs, leaves, some meat "mainly carrion" and anything that we could fit in our mouths that didn't kill us. We have fossilized Coprolite samples from Australopithecus which gives us insight to their diet, None of today's domesticated crops were available to early hominids, They were very poisonous. Thanks
manowar40 6 months ago
@manowar40
actually in the beginning, believe it or not, we didn't eat meat, but we only ate fruits and vegetables.
CBasie2856 6 months ago
@CBasie2856 It's really tough to say with certainty what types of fruits and vegetables our ancestors ate the African Savannah really limited what type of plants would grow there, I can believe they ate herbs and definitely had a sweet tooth, But recent test samples of 2 million yr old teeth shows they did eat certain types of grass and meat. Not for sure there proportions on the two but it probably varied at different times of the seasons. Survival can be brutal, Thanks
manowar40 6 months ago
@CBasie2856 The concept of fasting never crossed my mind nor the effects it would have had on early hominids, If they understood and practiced it that would be amazing. Thanks
manowar40 6 months ago
@manowar40
well fasting effects all animals.
Juice fasts nowadays FTW!!!
CBasie2856 6 months ago

@dailydols I mean "option" in a biological sense, not the "lawful" sense.

For B12 take a pill.

groundnpounder 9 months ago
@groundnpounder Most "great" athletes use steroids and performance enhancing drugs. It has nothing to do with eating animal corpses...
1imesub 8 months ago
@1imesub so let me get this strait... performance enhancing drugs are what matter and diet(vegan or omnivorous) has nothing to do with it??? You're an idiot, a complete idiot. I don't mind the fact that people choose to be vegans because this reason or that, but don't lie to yourselves and everyone else about what it is and isn't.
groundnpounder 8 months ago
@groundnpounder Oh shut up... I can speak from personal experience, unlike you. I ate an omnivorous diet for the first 20 years of my life, then I gave up meat, dairy and eggs for the next 11 years. I know for a fact that I am much healthier now than I was back then. Without performance enhancing drugs, many of the top athletes would not be where they are today. If you don't realize this by now, you're living in a fantasy dream world. Plants provide all the nutrients Humans need to thrive.
1imesub 8 months ago
@1imesub I won't shut up... and you stating that you "know for a fact" that you're healthier now because of being vegan doesn't make you any less of an idiot. Among the many things you don't "know for a fact" is the nature of food/diet, sport and the relationship between the two. Insinuating that diet has nothing to do with great athletes while steroids and performance enhancing drugs do shows how little you know.
groundnpounder 8 months ago
@1imesub And saying that most(more than 50%) great atheletes are on steroids/PED's is not based on anything other than your own imagination, but if you have evidence please let us all know. Steroids/PED's can only impact the following things strength/power, recovery time, stamina...they don't can't give a boxer better reflexes or a footballer better coordination or make a fighter cut weight easier or a judoka better technique or a gymnast the discipline to train hard and sacrifice.
groundnpounder 8 months ago
@1imesub Champions are made out of alot more things than drugs and one those things is a balanced diet with animal products in it.... Plants may well provide all the nutrients humans need to thrive just not to be an elite athlete.. you're still an idiot.
groundnpounder 8 months ago
@groundnpounder You're absolutely right... I forgot to mention all the supplements they take as well. You're incorrect about the need for animal body parts in one's diet however. Listen to what Durianrider is saying in these videos and learn; he breaks it down so that even the most simple-minded, mouth-breathing rednecks can understand. Believe in yourself, everyone is capable of learning.
1imesub 8 months ago

1imesub 8 months ago
@1imesub omg, You said "Plants provide all the nutrients humans need to survive" what I actually said was "Plants may well provide all the nutrients humans need to thrive just not to be an elite athlete". Also please name the athletes on the video who are not b grade? Saying that I'm wrong doesn't make you correct, you have to back it up with evidence. Gladiators were slaves who killed eachother for the entertainment of others, their lives were cheap and inferior like their diets.
groundnpounder 8 months ago
@groundnpounder What's your obsession with athletes? They don't matter; what they do doesn't matter. They aren't changing the world, they're just competing for money and fame. I already mentioned the gladiators; I don't think anyone we have today would even consider stepping in the ring with them. I also mentioned some of the greatest armies in history. Caesar's legions complained when they were given meat before a battle; they preferred plant based foods. Anyone can take drugs and cheat.
1imesub 8 months ago
@groundnpounder And nobody cares what "you actually said." You're not that important.
1imesub 8 months ago
@1imesub Genghis Khans army came from Mongolia and Central Asia, they never did and still don't eat starches as they don't grow well there. They eat meat and animal products. But please entertain us all with why you think Ghengis Khan's Hoarde of Mongols lived on starches..

Mekelsior 10 months ago
@usurynation I have not always been a vegan and I was taking B12 supplements and ate all kinds of animal and dairy products, I was low in B12 as well when I got it tested and had to take B12 injections. I suggest everyone take B12 supplements regardless of what diet they have and or drink B12 enriched foods. It is ok to be vegan and in many ways a better way to go, it is however important to supplement the weak spots and listen to your doctor if they say your child needs more B12. =)
Mekelsior 10 months ago
@usurynation Just take a B12 supplement and you solve the problem, everyone sould do this includin the meat eaters. It is not complicated at all, if the lady had gone to the doctor they would have spotted it, there are probably more to the story than the media explains. Besides there are thousands of deaths related to a meat eating diet as well so if we are to compare I think the vegan side will stand victorious. Anyway, check out the Mcdougall diet if your interested, thats the one I eat. =)

Gary1111001 1 year ago 4
@Gary1111001 hahhhahahaa wow...you are disregarding life forms that have been around since the beginning of time ... you yourself can choose to have a vegan lifestyle but seriously saying that an animals diet is not natural and bad for them?...nice try.
ShekinahStarDove 4 months ago
@ShekinahStarDove (my post wasn't too clear, but let's keep it mature - no need to laugh, especially with u saying some animals have been around since the beginning of time)
I make a point to look at animals to see what's natural
I didn't disregard. I think meat-eaters evolved to that diet... out of necessity(climate-caused lack of plant food). And although they evolved to eat meat, it's STILL not optimum nutrition.
Humans - on the other hand - haven't physically evolved into meat-eaters.
Gary1111001 4 months ago
Durianriders, are you saying that indigenous peoples--all of whom hunt down and eat animals--are confused about a proper diet for themselves?
Seriously, your arguments are simplistic, e.g., the brain needs sugar so I eat sugar or holding up cute puppies. Everything dies and feeds into a cycle of life.
You have build a trap for yourself, defining yourself through your diet. You haven't been doing this for long enough for the long-term deficiencies to show up. But they will.
bagginshates 1 year ago
@bagginshates "indigenous" peoples don't all eat meat. That's simply what TV likes to show us - there's more action. But the tropics are the only place humans can eat off the land without tools. And they do: See "The Fruitarian in Sri Lanka"
"You haven't been doing this for long enough for the long-term deficiencies to show up. But they will." -- Boorring. Answer: Dr Graham, Orangutans, Bonobos, fruit bats, bees. Why aren't there "short-term" deficiencies?
Gary1111001 1 year ago
@Gary1111001 If there is ANY indigenous culture where meat is not a regular part of the diet I'd like to know about it. Please enlighten me.
BTW, the only reason I am here engaging with vegans is because the United Nations would like to outlaw meat eating to reduce global warming, which is absurd for countless reasons. So, regrettably I am forced to point out the flaws in the vegan philosophy as a way to protect my own health from their attacks. Vegans leave me alone!

Gary1111001 1 year ago
@Gary1111001 The "indigenous" are people who pre-date a life style characterized by living in cities--and by extension--all organized religions. I focus on indigenous people because they would eat food that is natural to their landscape and a diet that the human body has evolved to thrive upon.
All of your examples are relatively modern and influenced by artificial ideologies and are, therefore, unnatural. People do all sorts of crazy shit under the influence of organized religions.
bagginshates 1 year ago
@bagginshates "People do all sorts of crazy shit under the influence of organized religions" - I've noticed: Christmas ham, rituals of cannibalism
Well, by your definition, "indigenous" are people wouldn't necessarily have a name or be in the encyclopedia, You're looking for natural???? Society's aren't natural.
They've eat a diet that the human body has evolved to thrive upon" - We are :)) And we're thriving. I'm 42. I'm healing problems when most my age are developing them.
Gary1111001 1 year ago
@Gary1111001 When you first start the vegan diet it is cleansing. But over time robs you of nutrients. There are many, many former vegans who had to give it up; I know several personally.
bagginshates 1 year ago
@bagginshates Former vegans isn't proof of anything. Alot more people are former meat-eaters. And Gold metalist Bode Miller has NEVER eaten meat, not to mention billions of animals.
Your going to have to be more specific: What is it about a meat-less diet that steals nutrients. for instance: Calcium is 'robbed' by excess protein from beans, grains, meat and dairy. Your turn.
Gary1111001 1 year ago
@bagginshates And onother thing: What society DOESN"T have a religion??????????

Humans lived as hunter/gatherers for hundreds of thousands of years. This is the environment that our bodies (and minds) are adapted to. Doesn't it make sense to eat as hunter/gatherers do? And I repeat my claim that there are NO hunter/gatherer people who would not eat meat. Veganism is only possible among the most domesticated people.
bagginshates 1 year ago
@Gary1111001 As to you calling "incoherent babble" my claim that the UN wants to curb meat consumption
due to "global warming" you are simply ill-informed. Google "pachauri meat".
Pachauri later had to resign in disgrace for his ridiculous claim that Himalayan glaciers could melt away by 2035.
Anyway, back on track here, I don't care what you vegans eat, but you seem very interested in what I eat. Harley posts his flames on non-vegan forums. Why is that? Why are vegans so righteous?
bagginshates 1 year ago
@bagginshates I think it's funny you mention endigenous people... I remember a documentary I saw on a indegenous tribe where they showed what they ate it was all plant-based exept for honey and ONE animal they kill each year for religious reasons.
XNinjaSebX 1 year ago
@XNinjaSebX That's great Ninja. Can you give me the reference? Also, aren't vegans opposed to eating honey as it exploits the little bees?
bagginshates 1 year ago
@bagginshates I have no idea what is the name of the documentary I saw it a long time ago as a child!
Well it depends, some are against it, some are not, some are not only if the bees are treated right.

@RawGreenLiving Hey wigglewozer, go read my comments on other videos and have some debates with them about when they say 'but harley, my cat eats meat so that means I should doesnt it?'
durianriders 1 year ago
@durianriders so because one person says it it applies to all people?
so what if a an african says the earth is square and 1+1 = 2?
does that mean that 1+1 = 2 is a false statement?
furthermore does that mean that all africans believe the earth is square?
rehanb 10 months ago
@RawGreenLiving he's making the point that if we eat meat why discriminate? eat your dog. why don't we salivate when we see a cow? i really doubt we have a natural need for eating meat. i never crave or want it. i love eating light easily digested foods and that seems pretty natural and right for me.
trkrichardson 1 year ago 2
@RawGreenLiving I've heard meat eaters use the lion eat meat argument many times actually! ''Lion eat meat and they don't get colon cancer and heart attacks so it must not be that bad'' or '' Lions eat meat and they're strong so it's good for building muscle''
Ok that's not all meat eaters who are that stupid but there's still people who think with lousy logic like that!

While it was hard to stomach, I appreciate you showing how the pigs are 'stored' on the street...especially contrasting the shot with those humans standing around playing darts. Ahhh...if the roles were reversed.

If a raw vegan lifestyle were natural then maybe a tribe of people can survive eating wild food in some tropical jungle but i doubt that they can.
patryksky 1 year ago

If it is wrong to eat animals, then all animals would be vegan.
RawGreenLiving 1 year ago
@RawGreenLiving Thats like saying its wrong not to fuck your mother cos other animals do. Its wrong to use a computer cos other animals dont. Its wrong to not shit in public cos other animals do. Its wrong not to fuck your little sister in public cos other animals do..
Does that make sense? Cos birds can fly does that mean we should jump of cliffs and try?

@durianriders LOL! Primates eat their own shit, so I guess we should eat our own shit too. Good points Harley.
brandonx19 1 year ago
@durianriders Thank you, people use this playgroud logic and expect dignified responces. Its not a debate when people pull out "I know you are but what am I" type of responces, its just childish
kingrotty 1 year ago
@RawGreenLiving My argument is from a moral and ethical point of view. If it was morally and ethically wrong to eat animals, then no animal on this planet would eat another animal because they would have the sense not to do so. But that isn't the case is it? Even some of our closest primate relatives eat other animals. The decision to not eat animals is completely a manmade concept. Our ancestors ate animals tens of thousands of years ago. If it killed them, they would have stopped.
RawGreenLiving 1 year ago 3
@RawGreenLiving this is a technical question. other animals don´t have agriculture and don´t live in overproduction, they have to kill we don´t!
Nutzername36 1 year ago
@Nutzername36 You're right, we don't have to kill anymore. We do have agriculture. But that wasn't always the case. Our ancestors ate animals. Would you say to them that it was morally and ethically wrong to do so at that time?
RawGreenLiving 1 year ago
@RawGreenLiving no i wouldn´t. if i die of hunger i think i would even kill humans to eat them but i would wait as long as possible. but i´m not starving in fact i´m eating a big bowl of cereal with appel, maca, ginseng and B12 for breakfast. yam! :D
Nutzername36 1 year ago
@RawGreenLiving
Anything else is irresponsible
xrodolfox 1 year ago
@xrodolfox Would you say that our ancestors tens of thousands of years ago were irresponsible to eat animals for food? Yes, humans can thrive on a vegan diet. That doesn't mean that ALL humans can thrive on a vegan diet. Humans also can thrive eating animals. Take the Eskimos for example. What is irresponsible are factory farms where animals are tortured, not allowed to roam free, or eat their natural diets. I will agree to that.
RawGreenLiving 1 year ago
@RawGreenLiving
It is unethical to eschew responsibility for killing animals for pleasure (taste) rather than need.
xrodolfox 1 year ago
@xrodolfox Morals and ethics are learned and taught. Were you born a vegan? If so, your parents must have been vegan. If not, you must have learned of veganism through inquiry and observation. My question is: Is it wrong for a person to eat animals if they were never taught or were made aware of the moral and ethical implications of vegan principles?
People do not kill animals merely for pleasure. There are indigenous cultures to this day that rely on animals for nourishment. Are they wrong?
RawGreenLiving 1 year ago
@RawGreenLiving
This is about us, in the present, not about humans in another culture far removed from choices.
xrodolfox 1 year ago
@xrodolfox Like I said before, people do not kill animals merely for pleasure. You are wrong if you think so. I used the Eskimos as an extreme example as they thrive in harsh cold weather eating more than 95% of their diet from animals. Aside from them, there are still cultures around the world to this day that rely on animals for food to survive. Are you saying that since they are "far removed from choices" that it's ok for them to eat animals then?
RawGreenLiving 1 year ago
@RawGreenLiving
Not good enough.
xrodolfox 1 year ago
@RawGreenLiving They have no choice. They dont have access to plant foods. Try growing rice/fruit in the arctic...
Please use real world examples for debates perhaps. ;)
durianriders 1 year ago
@durianriders Real world examples? Eskimos are real world examples. There are people in Alaska who still eat the same way to this day. How about tribes in Saharan Africa? Real world example right? Or is it not a real world example if it's not YOUR world Harley? Since they have no choice, is it then ok for them to eat animals? Do morals and ethics not apply to those who don't have a choice?
RawGreenLiving 1 year ago
@RawGreenLiving Look how sick and violent these cultures are? The main cause of death is each other. They die early from osteoporosis.

I shall judge with or without anyone's permission for I am moral and reason able.
