It makes perfect sense. You're calling Americans "retarded" because we call the game soccer. Who cares if it's an "outdated Cockney expression"? If we say "soccer" and you know we mean "football" and vice versa, why should anyone care?
@joesisa2 American English! there is a difference it's a completely different dialect. You say extra time we say overtime, its jsut what WE call it, who cares!
- it wasn't that long ago that folks south of the border were not speaking Spanish. The Latinos brought quite abit to the new world long before football - one can find easily illustrations of Spanish soldiers playing a form of football with the breasts (cut from their bodies) of Mayan women, I wonder what were they calling it then.
All right USA soccer, we got 400 people coming form my area to Nasville(12 hour drive) to support USA take on the worlds biggest game. US vs T&T at LP Field.
I heard the crod was already at 20,000 and that excludign the massive potential walk-up crowd.
Me and my friends are driving 7 hours straight from school to go. Then getting back at like 3 and going to school the next day, but it is soooooo worth it! GO SAM'S ARMY!!
Latin Footballer is just mad because he was cut from his high school jv team.

Can you guys change the name of your foundation? Call it U.S. Association Football. Or U.S. Original Football. Or REAL Football.
Acknowledge the roots of the game. Many American kids have no idea and they think the British are weird because they call it football.

The Italians dont call it football either, maybe Serie A should change its name too? Oh wait thats pretty rediculous and so is your opinion.
We play the game, that how WE acknowledge the roots of the game. who cares what its called

Why do lame voiceovers need to ruin things? Whoever that guy on the mic was needs to rethink his career path.
