i used to have a sachs rotary engine in like about 1998 or so untill my lovely uncle tossed it with all my other goodies. couldve killed him havent gotten another or even saw one(that one was from my uncle dicks estate that my aunt gave to me-his wife) alot of flames shooting out of exhaust though. thx for sharing
BadAss! Where and how muchcould one be had in the US?
Beggin for a sticker on the rear of it saying "Kiss my Sach! You know, for 2nd, 3rd, place to see, lol, thats mighty ballsey but, not sure i could resist!
Tell you what, be happy you fellas don't in the most wankel defficiant country on earth, the US. About the smallest around here is a 12a. Or a .30ci OS model rotary, and ive got one of those!
its not fitted in this video, its was simply fuel injected in this vid as the disc says, i have since fitted the turbo but have not yet got around to making the new manifold for the smaller more compact injectors iv sorced
nice thats an awsome little project got about 3-4 of these so may have another housing somewhere.... would be great to get a bit of info about these little motors just in the process of getting one of them goin again but i have no idea on the cc's ect ... good luck
@liccalottapuss69 i actually have another housing, i just havnt had the time to get back to this project as im to bussy racing motor bikes, where in nz are ya from ? what do you want to know about these engines? drop me an email, xlr8_07(at)hotmail.....
how much does it weigh and what turbo and ECU are you using, mate? What fuel pump and injectors? CAn you share any sources or specs for what you've got there? Very cool.
weight, ummm 18-20kg i guess, turbo is a brandnew IHI RHF B30, injectors im running are a set of bosch that are rated at 440 cc ( methonol capable ) with a link plus v5 ecu, and a 1cc per rev oil pump, i have no sources i have done this all my self, it is miles difrent to this now, in the vid it was no Perifrial ported, and only had one injector and no turbo,
hey, yea they are a lil inefficent, baring inmind this is the second time it has ever been running in this video, and i was using a fuel and ignition map from a toyota 3sgte engine haha, i have tuned it a bit more now, how ever i have since pulled it apard and am rebuilding it with perrefrial port intake etc. they do stil have huge horse power per cc, as a rotary engine can get well over 100% intake efficency, however a 4 stroke piston engine barly reaches 85%
this is the second one i have owened, ( found the last one at a scrap yard haha ) they only made it to somecountrys, in new zealand we had a few as they were used for water pumps by the rural fire service. but in saying that they are still hard to find ..... ps any body have a spare one i can buy? i need a new housing?
built most of it :P the core engine is a sachs km48, at the moment i am putting a perfrial inatke port on it will be good wen its done, im over the stresses and muck ups hahah
simply because they fire once per rev, and less energy is wasted because everything is very balanced on them, - there is a free book called " the rotary engine " by yamamoto - download the 1971 version ( heeps more informative then the 1981 )

wouldn't a newer 1 rotor based off 13b-rew parts be a much better base? can pull at least 100hp out of a 6b

Those motors seem kinda in efficient with all of that unburned fuel. If I am incorrect educate me instead of flaming.
I can't imagine how fast a cart would be with that motor LOL.

cool, rotary engines are pretty cool, why do they have more power that say a normal one/two cyliner go cart engine? i dont get that

once per stroke. ;)
Another reason less energy is wasted is just that there's fewer moving parts altogether.
looks like fun. :)

hahah my bad, nice spotting. they also only produce hp due to the fact that they can rev effortlesley, as they have no torque,
