What you are hearing after the discharge of cartridge is the disconnector being disengaging. Fairly good rythm here, and yes that is the correct technique for slow fire.
the main reason M4's and M16's jam is because the operator didn't really clean there weapon or lubed enough oil. But sometimes they jam due to dirt, mud, water or the ammo and magazine is old or not clean
@Backpackmancon The forward most one is an EOTech, also known as a Holo Sight. It has no magnification, just a red circle as apposed to using the iron sights. The rearward most one is a 3x magnifier for the EOTech. It allows you to have magnification while using the same reticle on the EOTech and not needing to re-zero the gun.
@lmonto hmm if u were using silencers on your gun it just reduces the noise, and it will make noise and enemies will find you, but at the same time i guess your right
u reliase that only the special forces can chose silencers and their own guns if you in the army its either M4 or M16 or AUG, CoD portrays the army badly
@Theslydonkey you should be thankful to your politicians that at least you don't have shitty M4s. If arms purchases were not a political thing I think that at least 80% of the world would use russian stuff.
@Theslydonkey It meant that many US allies (which Australia is) obtain US equipment because of political reasons not cost-quality relation. In a matter of small arms there is a "threat" that US allies would be equiped with m16/m4 system which is tragic (direct impegiment gas system causes many problem and is a pain in the ass concerning maintenance, jams that can occur during firefight can cost soldier's life). Your politicians are enough clever not to obtain american small arms shit.
@Theslydonkey They do but it's a wrong choice. M4 is even worse than m16 because of shorter barrel (projectiles fragment properly only up to 100 meters), shorter gas tube (higher pressure in the receiver which causes overheating during intensive shooting, faster getting dirty-need of even more frequent cleaning and faster wear of mechanical parts) and all of this makes M4 even more prone to jams than M16. Can't figure out what's the real cause that Stoner system is still in use and being ordered
@drLibre22 I thought one of the main reason they were feilding more M4s rather than the M16 is because of the shorter barrel since alot of combat done now is Close-Quarters, room-to-room combat which requires a lighter shorter gun for mobility.
@Theslydonkey lol, I dont think you should be speaking on the military's behalf if you yourself dont know what you are talking about. Aug? really? I think youre the one who is manipulated by cod. Not to mention that The US only has one SF and that is part of the Army, I think you are talking about special operations groups. Not even Special operations groups get too much freedom when it comes to their weapons, you are thinking of Delta or Devgru- but you wouldnt know the difference.
nope im australian and the main weapons used by the aussie army is the AUG. I am mainly talking bout australia so i may be wrong. I also noticed ur picture is the Dragon Rising logo, its a fun game though they could of made it better
@synysterfan911 it CAN, because there are two differnt types of suppressors, One thats touches the Round when exiting the chamber and barrel, and one that does'nt, the one seen in the vidoe is one that does touch the round, this does affect the the range and power of the round, it may take one more round to take down an insurgent with one more hit, but if you want inproved range with this suppressor you might want to change the Grain, U.S.M.C, Hoo-rah
Yes it's the shooter letting the trigger go forward after the shot breaks. It's a one of the basic rifle fundamentals and will increase your accuracy exponentially if used properly
@cone256 Yeah, i was listening for that too. True marksmanship right there. Following through and releasing the shot without snatching. Good pickup buddy.
That is pretty fucking sweet. Did you guys get issued Peltor's? We got those shitty MSA Sordins, that alway shorted out halfway through a mission. That always sucked finding yourself on a rooftop in fucking Mosul at 3 am not being able to hear SHIT. You got to love those Government Contracts!
Thanks for posting. Been trying to convince a bunch of people that suppressed M4's do make noise unlike those portrayed on film. Thanks for your service to the US. We would not have the freedoms we do without you. HOOAH!!!!
Yeah, I know, because the Afghanis and Iraqis were just about to land on LCTs, waving scimitars, to impose Shariah law on us all and "take our freedoms."
@bravo6four This text about freedoms is pathetic. I'm not surprised - your entire system of education is shaped in a manner to teach you such propaganda bullshit. Your soldiers would denfend your freedoms if politicians would keep them AT HOME! Your freedoms were not fought in Latin America, Europe, Grenada, Vietnam or now in Iraq and A-stan. It's just a freedom for US corporations to exploit foreign resources. Imagine that US bomb killed your innocent family, would you love US democracy then?!
@bravo6four Yes, it's impossible to fully silence a gun and even if you do the bullet will go supersonic and make a loud noise anyway. A silener was never meant to "silence" a gun in the first place but more to disguise it so it wouldn't sound like a gunshot. I think it got the name during WWII when these were used to "silence" guard dogs from alerting the enemy.
@slippp40 Calling a suppressor a silencer is fine. Silencer was a brand name when they first came out (Maxim Silencer). Calling a suppressor a silencer is like calling tissues Kleenex or bandages Band-aids. Silencers were first created in the early 1900's. They were probably called silencers before they were ever called suppressors.
@bravo6four I think you mean the Corporations would not be making record profits on war profiteering in illegal wars and the government would not be able to call us un patriotic for not supporting the illegal wars. None of what is going on in the middle east has anything to do with our freedoms!
@MrJeggus Wow, how can you say that. What do you call "The Arab Spring" then. Is that a figment of the imagination? The entire Middle East is waking up to grab freedom from their repressive governments. And We have Gorge Bush's idealist vision to thank for it. He set the ball in motion. And it will not stop until the Middle East is free. Even if we are there or not they will take their freedom. And the world will be a better place.
he's not letting go. that is trigger reset. he cannot break the next shot without easing the trigger forward to reconnect the sear to the hammer. the reset is both audible and tactile. it informs him that he is done easing it forward.
to demonstrate this, pick up your sidearm, clear the weapon, and do not re-insert a magazine. aim it in a safe direction, pull the trigger back and hold it back. then manually cycle the slide while holding the trigger back. now ease forward.
I understand this. I shoot a national match AR15. Too much length of pull can subconsciously cause you to pull instead of squeeze. With a two stage trigger, you want to release just enough so that the second stage is all you have to pull, not the grainy and longer first stage.
Certain types of military grade surpressors can reduce the supersonic speed of certain ammunition to subsonic so you don't have to fire subsonic rounds at enemys when you don't need the surpressor.
yeh in the movies and games suppressors are made to seem like they silence when really they just disguise the sound and AR's are loud as fuck i have one and hey doesnt it seem that the 5.56 is louder than say the 7.62
I'd bet on the latter. from a distance you probably wouldn't hear it as much...I'm guessing. They probably use it so people just within ear shot and out won't hear it, and if the enemy is close enough to hear it, it'll probably be too late for them.
The reason it's still loud is because they aren't using subsonic ammunition. The normal "explosion" you hear from the gas pressure is a lot lower, but you still hear the noise of the projectile. It is still traveling faster than the speed of sound so you hear the sonic boom that the projectile makes. If they would use subsonic ammo (slower than the speed of sound) it would be much quieter.
yeah well i would think that even if they heard it, they couldn't identify exactly what sound it is right away, and with subsonic ammo they'd probably only hear the parts in the gun snapping
M16's AR's and M4's are just loud, best you can hope for is just obscuring the sound, unless your using subsonic ammunition like that guy said below. But I have never heard one in real life that worked the way they do and sound the way they do with a suppressor like in COD4.
Here we go again with people arguing about the semantics of whether it's a silencer or suppressor. it's a totally useless debate. Anyways, omgsteve12 is right. If they're still using supersonic ammunition, you'd hear the sonic boom as the bullet passes by you. Then you hear the weapon later.
true true.. a lot of that sound you are hearing would be the echo around the built up range area.. would osund different again in the open.. totally situation based the sound i believe
it doesn't matter what gun you have you can shoot in any stance you want just as long as you hit and kill your target (if your shooting at an enemy or whatever)
Actually, For a Sustained rate of fire, it's wise to do what is often called "follow through" when squeezing the trigger. He continues to hold the trigger to the rear. The click is him releasing the trigger. In semi-automatic fire, when the weapon recoils after a shot, the disconnector is grabbing the hammer notch. When he releases the trigger (and the disconnectors hold) the trigger nose catches the hammer (the click you hear). Which is why you don't hear the click on the first shot.
first off, thats a Canadian Dlask Arms M4 Dar-701 Carbine...they don't jam and are the most reliable M4 to date. Only Colt is around that range of class

thesubaru123 3 years ago
And because they don't silence, they suppress. They're called suppressors, silencer is just what people call 'em.
AFSOCbum 3 years ago 12
@AFSOCbum if people call it silencers then what calls it suppressors?
rudybeatskcazm7 1 year ago
@rudybeatskcazm7 You mean who calls them suppressors? Everyone that knows what they're talking about.
AFSOCbum 1 year ago
@AFSOCbum idk what your saying
rudybeatskcazm7 1 year ago
@rudybeatskcazm7 I was taking at guess at what you were saying because I didn't know.
AFSOCbum 1 year ago
yeah its loud but the silencer is ment to make the sound of a gun shot diffrent. so like people dont recognize the gun shot. COD4 is fun
EPR1FILMS 3 years ago
Here we go again with people arguing about the semantics of whether it's a silencer or suppressor. it's a totally useless debate. Anyways, omgsteve12 is right. If they're still using supersonic ammunition, you'd hear the sonic boom as the bullet passes by you. Then you hear the weapon later.

true true.. a lot of that sound you are hearing would be the echo around the built up range area.. would osund different again in the open.. totally situation based the sound i believe

..its not hard to fire a weapon.
ktzeroii 3 years ago
yeah i know but the smaller you are the harder it is to take recoil
ZEROvsHERO 3 years ago
nah, not with the ar-15. most of them have recoil springs in the stock.
anthcybo 3 years ago
the ar-15 is longer and heavyier and thats a sniper more than and assult rifle
ZEROvsHERO 3 years ago
I figured you meant an Ar-15 because M4's aren't civilian weapons.
Some gun stores have M-16's which are even HEAVIER than the AR-15

it doesn't matter what gun you have you can shoot in any stance you want just as long as you hit and kill your target (if your shooting at an enemy or whatever)

hey whats the clicking sound before the gun goes off i just dont know what that is but cool video
SNOWMANINURFACE 3 years ago
it is the sound of his two stage trigger resetting. it clicks in the first stage then a little more trigger pull and it goes off
watcherofmovies93 3 years ago
Actually, For a Sustained rate of fire, it's wise to do what is often called "follow through" when squeezing the trigger. He continues to hold the trigger to the rear. The click is him releasing the trigger. In semi-automatic fire, when the weapon recoils after a shot, the disconnector is grabbing the hammer notch. When he releases the trigger (and the disconnectors hold) the trigger nose catches the hammer (the click you hear). Which is why you don't hear the click on the first shot.
omgsteve12 3 years ago
It's hard to explain weapon mechanics when they only allow a certain amount of text... Hoped that helped the guy wondering what the clicking was.

Excuse me good Dr., but it's obviously a proper carbine. And did you say that people think tricking is so easy? That makes no sense.

I hope american soilders are using that silencer cap most of the time.

awsome gun when its not jammin up!
hafnef 3 years ago
Dude, almost every jam comes from a lack of lube, bad magazines, or thirty five year old worn out guns.
It's an exceptionally reliable platform if you run it correctly.
bighitter42 3 years ago
first off, thats a Canadian Dlask Arms M4 Dar-701 Carbine...they don't jam and are the most reliable M4 to date. Only Colt is around that range of class
trond18 3 years ago
That's what I said...short of operator error or bad magazines the guns run great.
bighitter42 3 years ago
yeah tell me about the dreaded "Steam Pipe" jam, seems like I allways get one of those when I shoot my Tec .22.
