I bought one with 2000 miles for only 80 dollars that being said I am missing some parts but the guy took the plastic off when he bought it so it looks brand new give or take the missing parts
A used Kymco is a much better deal as far as price performance goes, and they are very good quality.
Nontheless, while they can be a great deal for people looking to break them apart and work on them, Chinese scooters aren't even an option if what you're looking for is a dealer-supported vehicle to just ride. Mine would not have even started the way it came shipped to me, and there's nowhere near to get it serviced.
If you can do without highway travel, slightly overpriced or not, it is nice.
i have a gator 150 gy motor and it is fast and reliable so dont knock the chiness scooters cheap and good parts and upgrade are way cheaper then the honda
@crystalrcmommy I don't want to friggin stick a ton of money into a cheap chinese scooter. They're okay if your into repairing them every 100 miles and finding parts for them.
My '86 is still running. The ones in the mid-80s (have a different logo on the side panels in the back) were made in Taiwan and I am told are of a higher quality.
@brian93ist Hi Brian. The current model Honda Elite 110cc scooter represents a complete re-design of the Elite line. The current model Elite has the same name as the old-style Elite scooter shown in this video, but it is otherwise a completely different scooter. The old-style Elite had drum brakes, a carburated engine, no storage space under the seat, and an angular styling. The current model Elite has a disc front brake, a fuel injected engine, and an angular outer body.
if you think chinese scooters are better than japanese scooters you are smoking crack honestly. yes i agree if i heard him right and he has 13k on an 06 hes way too high. i would advice someone not to buy an 80 though unless they arnt going far at all. not nearly enough power. get a riva 125 or move into a liquid cooled elite 150 older. 80 isnt worth your time
@GrnSmoka707415 someone is always going to talk bad about everything and yes13k miles and wanting 1000 dollars for it is way off.I have owned both honda and chinese scooters.A honda scooter wont take the abuse like a chinese scooter
First the price on this scooter is high. What color is the sky in your world? It is worth maybe $700.You can buy a new chinese scooter for that.A lot of People have problems with honda scooters.@craig1974 has a video of one it wont even start. The sales man did not start this scooter. How do you know what you are buying?I didnt eaven hear it run.
And yes honda has a factory in china.A honda scooter wont start as good as mine in 25 degrees. There is a video of a honda scooter and it wont even stay running.
Yeah. The new 110 gets better mileage and goes faster, and the headlight was weak on this when idling, but those are my only real complaints. It's a GREAT scooter, and I've only had to get my 1986 honda elite 80 repaired once, ever, after it sat abused in a garage for at least three years, I convinced the previous owner to just give it to me. *great* bike, and it looks different than just about any other moped on the road today!

The Honda elite 80 actually ceased production in 2007. Honda is actually a Japan company not Chinese although there made in Mexico.
