  • though giving him some desent food and clean water would be a kind thing to do, as a human being to a smalle animal such as this house sparrow.

  • This is a beautifull example of the incredible will to survive that house sparrows posess.

Don't worry about comments like "you should have helped". The sparrow would have been more unhappy being forced to be helped by dangerous monsters (what we are in most their eyes) than it is the way it is now.

The wounds seem to be healed, and he is managing.

  • Poor House Sparrow. :(

  • did u pick him up and saved his life cause if u didnt *fuck u*

  • Fuck you asshole

  • I looked it up by tying into Google, "do sparrows talk" & they do. I only found one link so far but it's in a foreign language. I was looking for more when I saw this sick person's video of a helpless sparrow. Maybe this person is not a worthless human & we're missing something? I hope he can explain himself?

  • @Mofmars333 I had a male house sparrow that fell out of its nest as a baby and would leave after we nursed him back to health. He lived for 16 years (just died a couple years ago). He was basically a little brown parrot - could say his name, pretty bird, imitate the smoke alarm, the dogs, the other birds, various whistles, and even imitate various squeaky doors in the house. They are definitely capable of learning a lot.

  • spectradesign, wildlife shelters will just kill sparrows as they are one of two species not protected. Look it up. We saved one & have had her for 6 months. She is the joy in our lives our family wakes to every morning. She's smart, does tricks & it seems she's trying to talk even though it's rare for any female bird to talk.

  • Wow. Was this sparrow even helped or did the camera guy enjoy watching it?

  • save the freeking bird

  • did you save it?

  • I would have saved it! Picked it up and saved it!!!

  • I think this shows less about "God's care and provision" that an injured animal is surviving despite its hardship, but more about the tenacity of life in such a God's absence.

  • You could have taken it to a wildlife shelter. Way to be "The Worthless Human"

  • could I have 56 seconds of my life back please??

  • the bird would of most likely flown off anyways, if you tried to capture it

  • to the douchebag who posted this video,

i would enjoy breaking your leg and leaving you to suffer until you die like this poor animal that has feelings just like humans. how the fuck did you relate this to god you bring shame to the religion.

    go fuck yourself

  • :(

  • dfgjkdfgd such a brave sparrow, it's anything but worthless. i think it deserved a quicker and less painful death. you probably should've killed it so it didn't have to suffer..

  • birds aren't worthless your worthless asshole

  • No life is worthless....If the earth is something, its because of these beautiful birds and animals. Not us Humans.

  • GOSH U LET IT SUFFER. TAKE IT INSIDE AND CLIP IT'S WINGS AND FEED IT OR PUT IT IN A BOX AND PUT A BUNCH OF SEED. IS THAT HARD?????!!!!!????

  • Typical Christian.

  • Poor thing

  • At a point, I wanted to wish i can kill that bird...

but I cant...it has tugged at he heartstrings

  • you bloody basters! that poor bird. the only worthless bird that diserves to die is a pigeon. jk anyways thats just messed up!!

  • I hope some bluebirds and chickadees got their revenge on that little bastard of a bird.......House sparrows are non-native pests....they need to be killed.

  • So I don't get this... You quote the bible, play MWS, but you're actually just a sadistic asshole who didn't do anything to help?

Am I missing the touching message here?

  • @helloweenskeeper I don't get this either? What was the point?

  • screw these birds they kill all my bluebirds.

  • @FDLRemmurd Hell yeah.....FDLRemmurd is right.....the house sparrow is a non-native in the western hemisphere and attacks and kills small cavity nesting songbirds.....If this is in Europe, then it's sad.....If this is in North or South America, then good, I hope it dies....House Sparrows are worse than worthless, they're destructive.

  • @karenpato1 your just a smartass mother fucker arnt you? that bird has feelings too. and very pretty.

  • @weezereli1996 ....whatever.....look up... "house sparrow" on google and do some research.

  • @karenpato1 i dont care bluebirds can DIE im still for house sparrows!!!

  • you are so horrid and mean you should save it

  • This is sad. We wouldn't let a human just lie there, trying to survive, with a broken leg so why should we not help this poor animal?

  • @WgtnWallStreet but a sparrow isn't a human

  • @EziDuzit463 Does it not feel pain like we do? Does it not need warmth ans shelter like we do? Does it not get hungry like we do? My point is is that we should help all creatures out if they are in need. Im sure you would take your pets to the vet if it were hurt so why should we just let this poor Sparrow flail around on the ground?

  • @WgtnWallStreet A sparrow operates differently from a human. Some behaviors may be analogous to those of humans but they certainly don't 'feel' like humans do. Feeling is a human thing and we can't prove it in other animals. Besides, if you were to put a price on a human it would probably be a lot more than a sparrow. Just saying.

  • @EziDuzit463 I had taken all of that into consideration before I had posted the previous comment. All im saying is that we should help everyone and everything out if they're in need. Be it human or animal. Im not sure what the person who posted this video did after they had recorded the Sparrow flailing around on the ground but instead of filming I personally would have helped it, and even if a vet were to put it down at least I know It wouldnt be in pain anymore.

  • Oh and BTW you contradicted yourself by saying that they dont 'feel' like humans then go on to say that we cant prove it in animals. hmmm. Im pretty sure animals have the same basic instinctive needs needs as we humans do. Food, warmth etc to survive. God bless this little Sparrow.

  • @WgtnWallStreet No. Cognitively they are not the same. Is the sparrows brain the same as the humans brain? Nope. Therefore you making a bad analogy by saying they AT LEAST 'feel' the same things as humans. But still its not proven they do feel anything so who knows.

  • @EziDuzit463 Yes their brains may not be like ours but they share similar traits. If the Fight-or-Flight response is a human trait we have more in common with animals than we think. If you were to challenge an animal they would calculate the pro's and cons of the situation much like we do and either fly / run off or stay and fight. but yes like you said nothing is proven and most probably wont be for many many years.

  • @WgtnWallStreet Well, i would agree with you just said. There are similar traits shared as well as traits completely alien to us. I just wanted to point out that being a sparrow is completely different from being a human lol.

  • @EziDuzit463 My original comment wasnt meant to be about who is superior. I feel love and empathy for both. Just saying that we should treat each equally. I sure wouldnt let someone just lie there injured and film it for my benefit nor would I do it if it were an animal. Animals have been around longer than humans and IMO they deserve as much respect and gratitude as we would show to a human in trouble. Hopefully. Thanks Ezi, kept me entertained on my day off :-)

  • Just saddens me that this person took it upon themselves to film it instead of helping it straight away :-( And I think it is proven that animals feel pain hunger and the cold amongst other things. If their off spring get in trouble the parents go crazy. We had a baby sparrow fly inside once and the mother bird went berzerk. Never heard a sparrow as upset as she was that day.

  • @WgtnWallStreet and im not saying you shouldn't help the sparrow out im just saying its not the same as helping out a human

  • THAT IS SO SAD!

  • This bird can live almost normally. I have one cockatiel like that, and he's living like any other. It is possible to heal this but early in development (in the nest)

  • love it. Thanks

  • Poor thing. I commend its tenacity to hop around with its belly, and its wings seem to be in working order, so it looks like it still has a chance.

  • Serial killers do this sort of thing.

  • i would of captured it and put its leg in a wrap so it can't bend anymore so if he lands on it he just tips or put it out....

  • sad

  • i saw a bird with no toes and it was flying around funny

  • These things are so disgusting and reproduce like mad.

I would have let it die...

  • that sounds like you actually. I would have let you die as well to be honest.

  • @bluebirdman9 you reproduce with your mother and if u had a broken leg someone should make it hurt more asshole

  • Did you save it?? OR just enjoying making movies on living creatures who suffer??

  • this is sadly something like that I have never seen! I must cry! (seriously)

  • nein das ist ja traurig so was hab ich noch nie gesehen!ich muss weinen! (ernst)

  • did u save it

  • ITS CRUEL it should b put out of misery reli cos it will starv or be attavked

  • we have a sparrow bolth if his legs are brocken and we call him leggy

  • I love survivorship. What a trooper!
