@McFrosty2014 no most of the boys have moved on, im the only U18 rower left at bedes for the 11/12 season, i also row with avon because of the low numbers in the older age groups at bedes
@JOEBARCLAY8150 That's a shame, that boat was looking hot. A bit of work around the edges and some growth in the crew and you guys would have been looking pretty good for the Maadi race.
@brayidur Obviously not enough power in the boat. Look at the size of four seat. I currently sit in four and i'm 6"5' 230. You gotta have big guys in the middle of the boat, where the real puddle clearance comes from :)
@peanutpete23 Yeah we were a small crew and are starts were our weakness, we tend to dominate through the 1000m. With the exception of 5 seat the crew was lightweight ,four seat isnt as small as 7 seat who was just over 60kg(135lbs) haha, still managed around 6:06 over 2km, what are you boys doing in an 8+ 5:50s?? are you club or school?
@JOEBARCLAY8150 Haha, 6:06 isn't too bad for a almost total lettuce eating crew ;) Yeah, my school crew this year hasn't actually had any 2k races yet, but our first one is tomorrow morning.
That's the best I've seen a Bede's 8 row in years.
