But if Snoring occurs during REM or Dream state, and you interrupt those every time, you will not feel rested in the morning. Could have memory problems too- those states help consolidate memories. Apnea is bad in part because it causes bad blood gases, and partly because it causes you to wake panicing due to feeling suffocation when you should be in REM or dream state.
