  • that little ball was all like: Hmm... microwaving me eh'... well I just wont go out and release lots of smoke! HOW'D YA LIKE THAT?! lol

  • microwave a worm next

  • "Remember, microwaving food is for morons."

Best thing I've ever seen xD

  • Now to microwave a hot dog..

  • you should have opened the microwave to let it grow and terrorize the world

  • once i put two hotwings in the microwave to cook and there was ''lightning '' between them

  • im so sorry. i was going to click like but i accidentally disliked. :(( i wanted to like it ._.

  • Nikola Tesla had occurrences with lightning balls. He thought it was a difference in frequencies tuned just right that the parasitic oscillations created these balls (bad memory, but something like that). From what I've read from studying Tesla, these balls are highly unstable and often violently explode. However, from what I can tell and as you can imagine, he was more concerned about eliminating them than creating them as the balls would destroy his lab equipment upon the energy release. :P

  • YOUVE CREATED A SUN.

  • Oh great, you released the fire spirit of aken-ragh. Now we're all gonna die.

  • @Racecarlock what the fuck

  • @leo196able It's called a joke. Maybe you've heard of them.

  • zap!

  • Ok, i'm pretty sure it's just a light bulb with a diffrence...

  • I dare you to microwave 4 of those at once.

  • dude, there's a UFO in your microwave!

  • can you produce a wormhole with that thing? kidding

  • i microwaved some aluminum foil once. it shot out sparks and scared some shit outta me

  • thats so raw!!!!

  • You now have radiation poisoning.

  • IT'S ALIVE!!!

  • i don't know why this made me laugh so hard... instant favorite XD

  • Microwaving a light bulb is an extremely stupid and possibly lethal idea. If you weren't wearing a gas mask and using some sort of protection you shouldn't even have considered it. All things considered, the result was quite fascinating.

  • @Ghost10251 Hey, someone has to do it so I don't have to. Thank god for people like this, or I would be pretty dead right now.

  • must ... resist ..... shiny...

    oooh bright light

  • LOL, microwaving a bulb turned into microwaving the oven itself.

  • LOL and to think that scientists use millions of dollars for replicating a ball lightning and you just do it with a microwave haha! and yours lasted much longer than i've ever seen!

  • Your Mom must have went Nuts on you when she got home??

  • haha whatever with the gas masks we did this in a lecture

  • would you donate for new microwaves loal xDD

  • stupid (wearing a gas mask and standing right in front of it) but courageous.

  • @bdash2 GAS MASK IS FOR KEEPING OUT FUMES NOT PROTECT U FROM EXPLOSIONS FAGGOT

  • @ipwnm00bs im pretty sure gas masks double time as blast shields

  • its a fucking UFO!

  • microwave a baseball!!

  • OMG!

    Is it real?

  • ok, that was pretty cool.. but you still need to go put on a shirt.. one only prays you are wearing pants..

  • Are you wearing a gas mask?? xD

Well that would I also adive you ^__^

  • its hard to see very well because of that mesh

  • I feel like I just irradiated and got cancer by watching that video.

  • Your videos are BRILLIANT !!!!!!!

  • omg, that is so awesome!

  • New gun.

  • gas mask?

  • Did he just create ball lightning?

    if he did thats incredible

  • man thats like a new monster if this project getz into the rong hands that was awesome

  • you know what they say, shit happens when you let zuul out of the fridge.

  • @boi560 Bum bum bumbbum bum bum bum, bum bum bum bum bumm buuum bum, bum bum bum buuumbum bum, GHOST BUSTERS!

  • quite :D

  • i wish i could see a. his face properly and b. what the micro looked like after

  • I could have sworn that was a strog from quake 4

  • Pfhahahaha. A Strog? xD

  • wow if you pause the video at 52 seconds exact his face looks fucking scary as shit!

  • he is wearing a gas mask idiot

  • yeah hes freaking creepy

  • i lol'd for days after reading that....

  • Thats not his face hes wearing a gas mask for protection, look at the large filters on either side of his chin and the way his laugh is muffled.

  • actually that's plasma. ball lightning is very different from plasma. Plasma is gas that's been ionized, whereas ball lightning is... well, basically a mystery.

  • dude i'm sry but if i saw that face i saw in the microwave in a mirror i would fuckin run!

  • Its plasma, lol, WTF is ball lighning

  • Not trying to joke, but you look like you go out and eat homeless people on Saturday nights...

  • darwin AWARD!

  • Its the guys face and he cant help it if hes a monster, dont be racist :P

  • i saw the subliminal monster-pic at the end first :P

  • If it was " subliminal " as you claim, you would have never saw it duh.

  • Lol I like the shiny glowy thingy in the food warmer. Instead of making up some goddamn scientific explanation it's youtube not a science convention no one is going to understand ffs.

  • I wonder what would've happened if you let it out.

  • nothing. it's plasma, not lightning. the only reason it floats around is because plasma is composed of charged, ionic gas. if you turn the microwave off, it just dissipates because it was held together by the magnetic radiation in the microwave. it's a neat trick, you can do it with a grape, too.

  • how many times have u been in the hospital? lol

  • that looked scary

  • I dont know what they are talking about plasma and shit..... what was in there anyway?

Your truely an artist. Do you ever worry about radiation poisoning?

  • Sounds like transformers

  • O_o you do realise this is the first video of ball lightning made in the lab so to speak? gas inside bulb plasma...fies, bulb shattered, gas did not act as expected (because its plasma now not gas) as in the video? is my theory on what i'm seeing here

  • it stuck 2 the sealing

  • do you always use the same microwave, wouldnt that thing be fuckin' toxic after all the shit you put in??? LOL

  • I hope he doesn't heat up his food in there

  • hell yeah, he would probably get poisoned, but then again I had a microwave like that but I didnt intentionally blow stuff up in there. It was all the burnt popcorn's (and my little brother who nuked a stapler in it) fault lol. Also why was my first comment marked as spam? I just swore a bit and alot of people do it, or was it because I was stating the obvious and people where getting annoyed cus they already knew.

  • i hope this dude dies from this lol

  • the filiment got stuck in the micro wave generator

  • dude thats plasma

  • wow... without words :P i even see one of those but, i m 14 yrs old, and i wanna know whats happen when you touch that? i know, is a stupid question, but is the first time what i see it in a video and the fourth time what i see the words Ball Lightning XDe...

  • I beleive a scientist doing the kite experiment made a ball lightning and it burnt through his forehead and killed him. So id advise you not to touch it.

  • sweet

  • LOL LOL. This is just plasma anyway but I totally agree

  • who wants to see that thing in a toaster

  • dude, pause it on 51 seconds. this guy is ultimate creepy looking. hes wearing a mask right?

  • I'm pretty sure its just a respirator for safety reasons; I mean, if you've seen any other videos of his, the shit he nukes ain't the safest stuff to microwave, thus making the mask a good idea.

  • Dude... its Iron Man :O

  • dude its my azzz on fire yeeeeehaw!!! =:

  • lol i thought plasma came from the inside of stars or something =/ i might be mixing up a type of matter and some other category

  • There's a few ways to make plasma. One is to heat a gas so hot that electrons strip off the atoms and you form a 'fluid' of electrons and ions.

Another way is to electrically stimulate a gas to produce the same effect. Neon and fluorescent lights do this. In those type of plasmas the electrons, ions, and neutral parts of the plasma can all have different 'temperatures' electron temp very high (10000Kelvin) while ion & neutral temps are near room temp)

  • Neutron stars?

  • Comment removed

  • I am convienced, I notice a lot are'nt because you shatted their, believe in UFOs. It puts another nail in the UFO theories. Good work.

  • sorry guy thats fire if it was ball lightning it would have melted through the metal

  • no it wouldn't have and it is ball lightning

  • so thats the one people use to trick people that UFOs are real lol

  • sure it isn't a metal piece of the bulb that is magnitized to the ceiling and is glowing due to the charged particles?

  • you don't have a fucking CLUE what you're talking about. You're just mixing a couple of scientific words together trying to sound smart. what happened what the metal in the light bulb caused plasma to be released when microwaved. The plasma was released INSIDE the light bulb and became trapped. Due to the buld up of pressure the bulb burst, and the plasma was let out of the light bulb. The plasma then went to the top of the microwave (as plasma floats) and stayed there for a while.

  • and your the one who is acting smart?

  • you don't no what ur talking its a metal piece of the bulb that is magnitized to the ceiling and is glowing due to the charged particles and the plasma and partucles together causes a reaction to the bulb and makeing it light up!

  • And Your BOLTH Acting Like 2 Year Olds... Its Plasma Which Is Lighter Than Air So Natruly Its At The Top 'O Teh Microwave

  • 51 seconds... creepy...

  • Mom, Tyler blew up the microwave! He said it was ball lightening. FROM A LIGHT BULB.

  • i think i might have a side dish of balled lightening with my dinner

  • This is a UFO!!!!!! Run for your lives

  • OHH NO! They are attacking, I repeat we are under heavy fire!!!!!!!!!!

  • this guy so stupid its funny

  • your an idiot

  • you're*

  • haha! :P you got me there.

  • Let's play star wars!

  • ok, HOW?

  • man your insane

  • Amazing!!!! But he cheats, he use the Force. Remember, "dovetastic" is arabic for Darth Vader :P

  • lol your so right the guy is insane and sounds like darth vader

  • can you stop posting this on every video he makes? Okay so you figured it out give yourself a pat on the back the world doesn't need to know.

  • did your microwave survive?

  • Looks like plasma.

  • IT IS PLASMA MORON

  • That is possible since there is gas in that bulb but idk if a microwave would cause enough heat for that..I could be wrong but it does kinda look like plasme but it also lookes like ball lightning.Fire is a plasma to and it doesnt do that.

  • in a light bulb there is anly a vacuum like in space

  • No sir, you are wrong. They used to make it "vacuum" like you call it till the 60's, but of course a real vacuum cant exist in a glass bulb. Just a big absence of air. But after the 60's they've decided filling the bulb with inert gases works better than trying to remove the air :)

  • Well Fire May Be A From Of Plasma That Doesent Mean That Well Hmm ow Do I Say... Nvm Im Sure Its Plasma

  • that is beyond amazing..

  • try iron filings (rusted... just soak them in water, leave them to rust) wrapped in aluminum! (because i want to try it, but i don't want to wreck my microwave/get hurt in the process...)

you should get paid for this (if you don't already)

  • That definately looks like ball lightning to me. Very cool!

  • How the hell did you obtain ball lightning?

    I thought it was like,

    A phnemonon

    Or something o__o

  • all the ball was is a super heated ball of gas from the light bulb that was hot enough to eat the metal

  • super heated gas + microwaved(ionized)= plasma

ball lightning = ball of plasma, hence the video title

  • "eating it's way right through the microwave as a 3" bulge started to appear on top of the microwave." dude that's fucking awesome. and this kicks total ass of "will it blend" that crap's horse shit compared to this.

  • if that shit was eating through a microwave, it would be so kick ass to be able to fire that shit out of my hands! Ko'ouken!

  • That was awesome.

  • I don't think it is ball lightning.

The microwave radiation going through the ball is being ionised, causing the bulb to glow.

You are creating plasma, the 4th state of matter

  • what ball? it was a light bulb

  • that's what ball lightning is.....

  • ITS A GRAPE.

  • something like this happend in my living room a while back... it was really weird....

it was a loud pop a bright light and the smell of ozone in the air

  • niiiiiiiice

  • nice work ..you are one of the great microwave pioneers of our times

  • hahahahaha funny!!!!

  • man, when is the fourth form of matter(plasma) never cool? awesome vid bro!!!

  • you stood this close while performing this experiment? Don't be surprised if your kids come out all deformed...

  • haha!

yes, apparently you should NOT put a microwave at groin height...!

  • Amazing how long it remained in stasis.

Very unusual and difficult to obtain a stable microwave plasma in a commercial oven for this length of time.

  • sweet xD

  • ooo! I am going to have to show my dad this one! that is am extremely interesting occurrence.

  • i have to try that : )

  • Hope you wasnt plannin' on havin' kids anytime soon. Likely that ghost magic fire non plasma science ball made you all sterile like.

  • That'll teach ya to piss around with metal in microwaves :P

  • yeah in the sixtees little girl.

  • No one can still fully explain the phenomenon. Wikipedia ^^

  • Why were you wearing a gas mask? I could see you in the refection in the end.

  • No the gases do NOT react with the microwaves, the microwaves supply energy. What you are watching is either the gases being illuminated by the electromagnetic radiation, which in this case is the microwave frequency range, the radiation excites the outer valence electrons to a higher state, plasma state, giving off light, like a crappy flourescent light. Or you are watching a combustion reaction whose activation energy is supplied by the electromagnetic radiation. Like I said, read a book.

  • That was really stupid!!!

  • thats because the microswave is energising that ball

  • your kinda a numb nuts

  • making a pure plasma substance is more dangerous then you can consieve, the thing with it, it can explode and total everything in its radius like a granade or a C4, so dont do what Tesla did, dont make them, or you will suffer trust me

  • Before you try to give advice, try checking your spelling. And do some reading bud, because it sounds like you don't know what you're talking about...

  • You are an idiot. Pick up a physics book. Plasma is a state such as liquid, solid and gas. That is like saying if you get a bubble of air in water the water will explode like a grenade. When you see a spark from electricity you are seeing plasma, particles excited to the plasma state.

  • You had to be high or drunk! LOL I would never do that. Microwaves may blow something up when you put metal in them. Not a wise thing to do.

  • Thats frickin awesome!!

  • The ball was Plasma, You can achieve the same effect with a cup and a lit match (look into it for better details)

Sometimes when manufacturing lightbulbs, various gasses are trapped within the bulb.

  • how do you do the match and cup thingy?

  • Stand a cup up about 4 inches above a lit match in a microwave (make sure it isnt covering the match completelly or there wont be any oxygen for it to burn) And after so long, the match will go out, and the smoke from the match will rise into the top. exposed to the microwaves in large doses causeing it to create plasma, a lighter than air substance of energy.

  • so, smoke, that's gonna be pretty complicated, but it's oxidised something when subjected to pulsing basically gets charged to become plasma. what's the gas in fluorescent lights, do you know? i bet that's even more excitable by pulsing since they're using it like that. but thanks!

  • Not sure, I have yet to mess too much with neon or fluorescent, But I have experimented a few times with raw plasma, It doesnt seem to react too well...at least without microwaves.

  • You too are an idiot. You also should pick up a physics book. I'm not even going to explain how stupid you guys are. I will say only this, plasma is a state like gas or liquid NOT a substance, something in a plasma state IS more reactive, and it does not matter what is in the flourescent lights, passing an AC current through any gas will produce some form of visible light, but typically halides and inert gases are used, due to their low reactivity.

  • And yet what happens when you light a match and put it out? Gases leave the remains. reacting with the microwaves createing plasma that floats freely around as seen plenty of times.

  • And yet what happens when you light a match and put it out? Gases leave the remains. reacting with the microwaves createing plasma that floats freely around as seen plenty of times.

  • Seriously bro , don't try so hard trying to explain , it's really hard for them to understand that plasma is not a a noble gas but the 4th state of matter. Just hope it's not them building your plasma-tv lol.

And yes, the video does not show a ball lightning it shows plasma. Ionizing.

  • What is that buzzing sound when light bulb exploded?

  • Ghost Baby

  • it mightve been the light bulb filament. still pretty sweet though.

  • wow! now if you could just control the whole reaction. load it onto the front of a microwave gun with a big bulb..and you have a BFG!!

  • He's not on drugs or any fucking thing!! Quit being a cyberbully!

  • Interesting, the initial perterbations, in the cavity, caused the photon wave function to go into resonance around a single point in the cavity space. (All modes had their maximum at the same location in the cavity space) Hmmm? Interesting. Could this be a starting point in creating photon-photon interactions.

  • youre an idiot
